Why are you labeling this a 'violent protest' and advising the PMO on how to deal with it, when you are fully aware that it is not violent? After all, what is the definition of violence? And who actually engaged in violence? Was it the BSF? Or the Delhi Police, who tore women's clothes, dragged and beat them, and unleashed lathi-charges and tear gas on students? What about the individuals in plainclothes who used lethal weapons—lathis studded with nails? Who were they? Do you not see the violence perpetrated by the government and the police? You perceive this protest,which was triggered by government orders,as violent, whereas the students were merely concerned about their future. When there was no hearing for 20 days, the opposition had to step in to support them,a completely justified move. You should simply advise the government to admit its mistake, resign, and pacify the situation... ...rather than talking about violence and suggesting new strategies to entrap the protesters.

Madam, your suggestion may work in a protest where peaceful and law-abiding people are demonstrating, with only a minor risk of arguments or scuffles. This protest, however, appears to include individuals engaging in violence and criminal acts, with some allegedly willing to attack police personnel and security agencies. In such a situation, who would expect civil defence personnel to enter such a crowd without protective equipment?
