I have suggested the following to the ANI in the interview taken this forenoon. 1) shifting of venue of agitations to RamLila Ground (enuf space) Permissions only this. Even if peaceful assured. Connaught Place can be prevented from vandalism. 2) main reason is to keep away from Parliament House gates ( for national safety) 3) First and Second line of defence be Civil Defence and Women Police. Not the British colonial style of armed lathi charge police. 4) Riot police as a last resort not the first. Is there to respond on need basis. 5) use of drones linked with control rooms to see real life / live to record the actual acts of protestors and action of police too. 6) follow up of these identified (by tech based face recognition), miscreants with criminal records for cancellation of their bails and forfeiture of their sureities

Towards Accountability and Prevention in MCD Today, an Intervention Petition containing five suggestions was filed before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, seeking systemic measures to address recurring failures in the discharge of MCD’s duties. The suggestions call for: 1. A transparent, time-bound prevention plan in the public domain. 2. Technology-enabled monitoring, inspections and transparency for timely detection and corrective action. 3. Measurable steps to restore public trust through accountability and regular disclosure of compliance. 4. Independent Judicial Oversight to periodically review implementation and assess compliance. 5. Submission of the complete prevention and mitigation plan before the Hon’ble Court for its consideration and further directions. The objective is to move beyond recurring failures towards systematic prevention, transparent governance and accountable public service delivery. Independent judicial oversight can be an important mechanism to ensure that preventive measures are not merely announced but implemented, reviewed and followed through. The matter is next listed for hearing on 16 December 2026. Sunil Kumar Gupta

Why can’t this happen in India? By this we don’t need to waste water on ROs and buy Plastic bottles. Every home could have clean water. We only need political will and bureaucracy to work together to do this in all States in India. We make it a national program. PMO India

#WATCH | Posted by ANI Delhi: On the alleged gang-rape incident in a sleeper bus in Delhi, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi says, "We are seeing a resurgence of reported cases involving the rape of girls, whether they are 16-year-olds or 3-year-olds attending school...a major factor here involves the transport sector, be it school buses, school vans, or public transport drivers and conductors. This is the category that repeatedly comes under scrutiny...first, why isn't there a mandatory verification process before hiring a school van driver...in almost every news report I read, a perpetrator's past criminal record surfaces...we should mandate that no appointment can be made until a check of their past police record is completed. The second aspect is enforcement. If a bus is spotted on CCTV, perhaps with its curtains drawn, it should be stopped immediately... The third aspect is punishment. Without punishment, there is no fear of consequences...unless their source of income is suspended, that necessary fear will not be instilled...background checks must be mandatory. Bail granted to such individuals should always be conditional: if they commit another crime or come to adverse notice, their bail will be revoked..."
