Is there any good detailed information on what the greens looked like before the players revolted and demanded Dye redesign/flatten them? Sounds like the pros have always been divas to some extent. Cheers

Guys, we have 4 days of play at The Players now. Can we agree the tree on hole 6 is awesome? Here is Rory today. Basic flighted 3 iron for one of the best players in the world. Yet not even close to the fairway. A mental test that players are failing. Hitting under the tree is no issue, but just the mental image alone is making guys so uncomfortable. When Pete Dye designed TPC Sawgrass, he had a tree here for a reason. Turns out the architect knew what he was doing! Let’s test the best players on earth!

With a stretch of three consecutive home games early in the season, we decided it was the appropriate time to re-sod our field. This process will begin on Monday with full installation of a new surface completed by the end of the week. We will continue to monitor the field and every aspect of our new stadium to ensure it is the best possible experience for our players and fans.”
