Deputies say Raimiero Rios, 40, was driving a black SUV southbound behind two cyclists. He honked. Then he swerved at them — forcing one rider off the road and striking the other with the vehicle. Then, according to the arrest affidavit, he got out a firearm and fired one round in the direction of the cyclist he had just hit. No one was shot. Deputies found the bullet hole in the ground. He turned himself in days later at the Sheriff's South District station, invoked his rights immediately, and got booked into TGK on three felonies — aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. Two of the three are second-degree.

For some reason, the man became upset and allegedly tried to push the cyclist, which led to an argument between the two. Body-cam footage shows officers confronting the man and his unleashed dog. When the man refused multiple commands and the dog lunged toward an officer, the dog was sh*ot in the leg.
