Wales is to get seven new train stations as part of a major new government funding pledge which it says will transform the Welsh rail network. While visiting Wales, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the £14bn commitment represented "investment for the long term" and would create thousands of jobs. Work on five of the stations will start later this year, while other stations like Cardiff Central will also be upgraded.

What does it take to build light rail for one of the world’s coldest capital cities? With CSCEC as a major contractor, the first phase of the Astana LRT project spans about 22.4 km. CSCEC built 18.34 km of the line, including 14 stations, 15 sections and one depot. As Central Asia’s first urban light rail line and its first fully automated driverless smart rail transit system, the line integrates key technologies including fully automated operation, contact-rail power supply and adaptation to extreme cold environments. Tinubu didn't forget Northern Region. Here is a New update from the Ongoing 400km Kano/ Maradi/Dutse Rail Project under the administration of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. The line includes 20 stations, 5 workshops, 52 bridges, and over 80 road crossings, and will carry 3,000 metric tons of goods and 9,374 passenger/daily connectint to the Lagos–Kano rail.

⚠️ System Update: All high-voltage lines connecting TVA’s supply of electricity to local power companies have been restored. The last remaining line in Mississippi was returned to service this morning. TVA crews worked in challenging conditions throughout the ice storm response, using both ground and aerial resources to assess damage, complete repairs, and safely restore transmission service. The transmission system is stable and secure, and TVA is positioned to deliver power to meet demand. TVA will continue follow-up work to repair non-critical damage identified during inspections and strengthen system reliability. We remain closely coordinated with local power company partners as they complete repairs to their distribution systems and restore service to remaining customers.

The route will include 25 stops serving major locations, including: MTU, Cork University Hospital, UCC, City Centre, Kent Station, Cork Docklands, and Blackrock.
