Elon Musk is spending $40M to broadcast lies about #USAID during the #SuperBowl. Here are a few ways we wouldโ€™ve spent that money: ๐Ÿˆ Bought life-saving HIV treatment from American pharmaceutical companies to keep 1,060,000 million people alive for one year ๐Ÿˆ Slowed the flow of migrants to our borders by providing training and support to 50,000 people in Central America ๐Ÿˆ Saved the lives of 25,000,000 children with severe malaria ๐Ÿˆ Protected 30,000,000 football fields of tropical forest in Africa, preventing China and Russia from exploiting timber and critical minerals that fuel our world ๐Ÿˆ Kept independent media alive in Afghanistan for years, providing a voice for those the Taliban wants to silence ๐Ÿˆ Funded the entire response to the Mpox outbreak in Democratic Republic of the Congo, stopping this deadly disease from coming to our shores ๐Ÿˆ Provided 6,900,000 doses of a simple oral rehydration solution to treat diarrhea, a leading killer of young children ๐Ÿˆ Provided 8,000,000 girls with school supplies and education, preventing child marriage and creating a more stable, equitable world ๐Ÿˆ Bought enough emergency food-aid products made in Georgia and Rhode Island to treat 880,000 severely malnourished children Instead, Musk spent $40M to mislead you and your loved ones on #SuperBowlSunday. NM Highlands completed the New Mexico sweep, winning a 69-55 shoot out over Western NM last night (9/6/25), behind Jeffery Jonesโ€™ record breaking performance. True Freshman RB Jeffery Jones broke the D2 freshman single game rushing yards record of 380 yards, which was set Tiffinโ€™s Garrion Corbin on 11/6/02. ๐ŸˆLast night, Jones ran for 385 on just 22 carries (20 less carries than Corbinโ€™s 44) and scored 4 TDs, setting the new freshman single game rushing yards record. With a total of 608 rushing yards in his first 2 games, the freshman season rushing yards record of 2,064 (set by Joique Bell of Wayne St in 2006) appears obtainable. Jones needs 1,457 yards in the next 9 games (161.9 yards per game) to break that record. Jones wasnโ€™t the only Highlandsโ€™ player that had a great game. Highlands was also led to the win by: ๐Ÿˆ Tevita Valeti, 11 Carries for 138 Yds & 2 TDs; ๐Ÿˆ Jaden Montalvo, 5 Kickoff Returns for 187 Yds, including returning the opening kickoff 95 Yds to the house; ๐Ÿˆ Ike Udengwu, 6 Cmps on 12 Atts for 135 Yds & a TD; ๐Ÿˆ Mike Jones, 3 Recs for 44 Yds; ๐Ÿˆ Awsten Turnbow, 11 Tackles (9 Solo & 2 Ast); & ๐Ÿˆ Britt Alexander, 9 for 9 on PATs & 2 for 2 on FGs (25 Yds & 40 Yds). NM Highlands will be looking for another strong performance from Jones and Valeti when they start conference play by hosting SD Mines next Saturday. Here are a few of NM Highlandsโ€™ highlights from last nightโ€™s win, including an amazing catch out of the backfield by Jones: #RMAC #RMACfb #TheNewHighlands #CowboyTough #ThisIsHighlands

Brock Purdy is now the only remaining player from the 49ers' 2022 draft class. SF released Nick Zakelj to make room for center Doug Kramer Jr. before practice. Some highlights... ๐ŸˆPurdy's explosive camp continues. Deep 70-yard TDs to both De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson ๐ŸˆGeorge Kittle looks to be truly ramping it up. Was moving and cutting well in what looked to be some aggressive rehab work ๐ŸˆMike Evans and Christian Kirk both look like they might be close to returning. Shanahan essentially said Evans' absence is precautionary ๐ŸˆBrett Toth (concussion) was on an exercise bike. Might he be a dark horse to grab the LG spot? It's Robert Jones - Connor Colby there right now, but Klay Kubiak said it's "still an open competition" and, with Kramer added, the 49ers now have more center depth ๐ŸˆSafety Marques Sigle says he's gained 8-10 pounds of muscle since last season. Thinks it'll allow him to be more physical while keeping his 4.37 speed. Robinson did beat Sigle, though, on the second long Purdy TD toss ๐ŸˆRookie Carver Willis cleared concussion protocol and was back at practice. He's getting work at both guard spots and center ๐ŸˆBig hit from Fred Warner on WR Junior Bergen โ€” but to Bergen's credit, he held onto the football. He's been tough all camp ๐ŸˆDeebo Samuel worked a bit in the RB room today. Shifted back to the WRs to close position group drills. Caught a nice seam shot in stride and dropped an out while working against Dre Greenlaw ๐ŸˆSigle on Greenlaw: "His energy never left. He stayed in this room even though he wasnโ€™t here.โ€ ๐ŸˆLooked like officials called PI against rookie CB Ephesians Prysock on a deep out from Mac Jones to Demarcus Robinson. Prysock was flagged a few times at UW last year; definitely a clean-up spot ๐ŸˆRomello Height has a tendency to jump offside in 1-on-1s. Clearly trying to buy an advantage for his lighter frame, but it'll be a mandatory part of his game to iron out ๐ŸˆBest 1-on-1 recovery rep from rookie OT Enrique Cruz Jr. so far. Ogbo Okoronkwo beat him off the snap but Cruz did well to readjust. Raw prospect, but some progress is evident ๐ŸˆColby had really struggled in 1-on-1s as of late, but worth noting that he had a solid win today vs DT CJ West. Sweet rep ft. a spin move from Sam Okuayinonu vs Colton McKivitz, too โ€” Colton later shut down Height ๐ŸˆCMC's absence Monday was essentially precautionary, per Kubiak. Joint practice against Saleh and the Titans tomorrow โ€” we'll see if McCaffrey is back out there

SD Mines accepted an invite to play Division 1 Drake on Thursday night (8/27/26) to kick off the season, and not only did they leave Des Moines with a nice payday, but also left with a 38-35 victory. Despite falling behind 10-0 in the 1st Quarter, the Hardrockers responded with a heavy dose of Dawson Dunbar, who scored the next two touchdowns on a 58 yard screen pass and a 49 yard run down the Bulldogsโ€™ throats to take a 17-13 lead into halftime. In the 3rd Quarter, Gage Baker found former high school teammate Joshua Morales and tight end Blake Borchers for touchdown passes of 44 yards and 36 yards respectively. When momentum turned in Drakeโ€™s favor in the 4th quarter, the Hardrockers displayed the grit and perseverance we have all come to expect from a Coach Flohr team. With 7:45 remaining in the game, the Hardrockers went on a 15 play 79 yard drive that ate up 5:55 off the clock and ended with Dawson Dunbar refusing to go down until he ran it in from 3 yards out for the go ahead touchdown. While Drake had the ball with 1:50 remaining, SD Mines put the nail in the coffin with a huge interception by Senior Linebacker Charlie Johnson. Leading SD Mines to the win were: ๐Ÿˆ Gage Baker, 19 Cmps on 31 Atts for 306 Yds & 3 TDs; ๐Ÿˆ Dawson Dunbar, 17 Carries for 120 Yds and 2 rushing TDs & 3 Recs for 94 Yds and 1 receiving TD; ๐Ÿˆ Ty Harris, 23 Carries for 108 Yds; ๐Ÿˆ Joshua Morales, 4 Recs for 84 Yds & 1 TD; ๐Ÿˆ Charlie Johnson, 12 Tackles (5 Solo & 7 Ast) with 1 TFL & 1 INT; & ๐Ÿˆ Jarin Allen, 8 Tackles (7 Solo & 1 Ast). SD Mines will welcome Southwest Baptist to Rapid City next weekend as they attempt to built off the momentum from Thursdayโ€™s win.
