Vijayanagar & Govindarajanagar — welcome to FlexNagar! 😏 Bus stands, parks, Metro pillars… if there’s a public space, there’s apparently a flex waiting to occupy it. Residents are asking: What’s the going rate to deck up a public asset with your face and get free publicity? 🤔 Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Bengaluru West City Corporation : Has any engineers ever dare to remove these flexes. Elected representatives may be wondering whether GBA can enter their area. Don’t worry. The flexes got there first. 😂 Krishna Byre Gowda VC : IG/alemariamith

Tannery Road has mastered the art of offering commuters the full Bengaluru experience potholes, bad drains and missing footpaths, all under one roof. 😅 Residents and commuters have been living with this misery for years. Bengaluru North City Corporation, when will they finally get freedom from this misery? 🚶‍♂️🚗 Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS VC : IG/waseemverdict

Fresh roads. Fresh digging. Same story again. A video by Yuvakranti on IG questions who approved this excavation at HSR layout? What happened to the road-cut coordination policy, Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS ? Shouldn’t the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board be penalised? This is probably one of the many IG videos we’ve come across of Peenya roads over the last 5–6 months same location, same problem. And please don’t tell us Bengaluru West City Corporation engineers are unaware of what’s happening in their own zone. Commuters have been suffering from BEL Road to Peenya, yet there seems to be little urgency to fix the problem. Listen the frustration of commuters. How much longer should they endure this? This road leads to SMVT Bengaluru — India’s first AC, premium railway terminal. Nearly 4 million passengers pass through this station, and footfalls are only set to rise. Yet the last-mile experience outside tells a very different story. Safe footpaths, clean streets and proper access aren’t luxuries -they’re basic infrastructure for a city that calls itself a global hub. Bengaluru can — and must — do better. A month ago, GBA announced that the stretch from Arekere Signal to Bilekahalli on Bannerghatta Road would be completed by June 20. Today, barely half a kilometre of work has been completed. Greater Bengaluru Authority Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS BNP has been consistently tracking this project from day one. Deadlines have been missed, but where is the accountability? This is the reality on the ground. #BNP #bannerghattaroad #raoadwork #accountability

Everyone says Bengaluru should use more public transport…🚌 But reaching some bus stops itself is a challenge. Marathahalli’s busy bus stop has broken pavements, unstable slabs, and zero space for pedestrians 🚶‍♂️💥 while a transformer gets its own corner. How did this stay unnoticed by Bengaluru East City Corporation engineers under GBA for so long? How are pedestrians and passengers supposed to reach the bus safely without stepping onto the road or risking a fall? 🤷‍♂️ This is one of the city’s highest-density transit points. It deserves better. @EASTCITYCORP Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS BMTC ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice #Bengaluru #PublicTransport #footpath #Marathahalli

Shocking scenes from Shivajinagar, Bengaluru. A video posted by 4CleanIndia allegedly shows fish being sold right in front of a public toilet, raising serious concerns about hygiene and public health. The video also appears to show a calf tied up nearby, prompting questions about animal welfare. What makes this even more alarming is that Shivajinagar is not on the outskirts of Bengaluru, it is in the heart of the city. Authorities must inspect the area and take appropriate action if violations are found. #Bengaluru #Shivajinagar #PublicHealth #AnimalWelfare #CleanIndia Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Krishna Byre Gowda

🚨 Krishna Byre Gowda Sir, this is exactly the kind of spot your debris-clearance campaign should reach next.🎯 Sir, your recent campaign on garbage & debris clearance has given hope that long-neglected pedestrian issues will finally get attention. Here's one that urgently needs intervention before it turns into an accident. 📍 Kodathi, Sarjapur Road (near Wipro) Debris occupies the pedestrian space, forcing residents, IT minds, Schoolchildren and office-goers onto the carriageway. There is no usable footpath, only a daily safety risk. This isn't just a cleanliness issue-it's a pedestrian safety emergency waiting to become tomorrow's accident headline. Greater Bengaluru Authority Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS INTEGRATED COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTRE Bengaluru East City Corporation RK Misra P C Mohan CM of Karnataka please treat this as a priority. Clear the debris, restore the footpath, and make this stretch safe before someone pays the price for this apathy. A growing number of videos from Kedarnath Temple are surfacing online, showing pilgrims struggling with overcrowding, long waiting hours, poor crowd control, and lack of basic facilities. For a site that sees lakhs of devotees every season, calling this “unexpected” doesn’t hold. This points to clear gaps in planning, coordination, and on-ground execution. Faith brings people there but management is what ensures their safety and dignity. If authorities can track numbers, issue registrations, and regulate routes digitally, why is the ground reality still so chaotic? Pilgrimage shouldn’t turn into endurance. Accountability and better systems are not optional, they’re the bare minimum.

As many of us keep asking: why does the City Development Minister have to personally come around to check every issue? What are ward engineers and Commissioners there for? Bengaluru East City Corporation If KRDCL isn’t delivering, fix the accountability or replace the agency and make it public the inefficiency of the agency. Basic issues like desilting, asphalting roads, ensuring clean drains and managing traffic diversions at project site should be handled at the zone/field level, not wait for a ministerial inspection. And if engineers aren’t empowered or qualified to address these issues on the ground, how are they executing works in the first place? The Minister’s frustration is understandable but the real question is why the system needs ministerial intervention for routine work.

TCS World 10K Bengaluru is on 26 April 2026. Last year, runners suffered through pothole filled roads that were also dug up everywhere. This year can be different. We appeal to the CM, DCM and Commissioner: please fix the roads on the race route before then. This race is Bengaluru’s pride. Runners come from across India. Let them return impressed, not disappointed. We are only asking for 10 kilometres as we know it’s too much to ask of you to fix all roads in the city. If roads can be repaired overnight for VIP movement, surely they can be repaired in two weeks for the common people of Bengaluru. Give us a safe race. CM of Karnataka DK Shivakumar Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS
