Ayush Malik, a Shamli district resident who had converted to Islam for the woman he was in a relationship with, has returned to Hinduism amid an ongoing criminal case linked to the conversion, saying he took the decision after seeing the distress it had caused his parents. A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Malik, in his 20s, performing Hindu rituals at his residence along with his parents, even as the police probe into his conversion continues. In the video, he says he had embraced Islam for the woman he loved but has now decided to return to Hinduism after seeing how much pain his move had caused his family. He is also seen apologising to his parents and speaking emotionally about staying with them.

Advocate Karnika Bahuguna, counsel for petitioner, says, "We filed a Public Interest Litigation against the Delhi Police because, following a series of RTI applications we submitted in 2025, we discovered that sanitary pad vending machines were available in only a handful of police stations. Elsewhere, there are neither sanitary pad vending machines nor separate washrooms for female police personnel. That is why we approached the High Court. We also demanded the installation of incinerators. The High Court has issued directions to the respondents, granting them six weeks to conduct a survey... They are required to report within this timeframe on how many police stations currently have sanitary pad vending machines installed and in how many stations the process is underway. Essentially, directions have been issued to submit a status report detailing the ongoing process... The next hearing is scheduled for the 23rd of September..."

Another Chhangur Baba Gang in UP? Yet again, a case involving Hindu women, minors, and Islamists has come to light from Lucknow. Two brave victims have come forward, leading to three FIRs and rescue of 17 girls. The modus operandi is same: meeting girls online, offering them jobs or trapping them in fake love affairs, then taking them to rooms and hotels, intoxicating them, recording nude clips, and beginning the blackmail. One of the victims came to Lucknow preparing for the UP Police exam. She met one Rahul, who promised her a job. He took her to a hotel, intoxicated her, raped her, recorded a video, and then forced her to repeat it with others. The other victim, a minor from Delhi, found a number on the internet regarding a job opportunity. She was then taken to Ajmer, from there to Lucknow, and then to the same spa as the first victim. Both had been converted to Islam, abandoned by their families, and exploited by Rahul and his gang, who is actually Kamru Jamal. The others in the gang are Amir, Javed, Kamar, and others. The third FIR was also registered by the family of a minor Dalit girl, alleging she has been kidnapped by one Amaan Khan, Ameeran, and Sahiba. Activists claim that in the last three days, as many as 17 girls have been rescued, with only one Muslim and 16 Hindus. Allegations have also been leveled against the UP Police, claiming that they are registering cases under less heinous sections. The link with Ajmer raises another suspicion about what has been cooking. When we at Organiser Weekly went there in April last year, a gang was operational which trapped teen girls, took them to cafes, and recorded videos to blackmail them, following the same modus operandi as in Ajmer 1992. Now in Bikaner 1. Unauthorised church in name of “prayer hall” found operating from a residential property. This is completely against the law and there is a Madras high court judgement that one cannot convert a house into a prayer hall for holding weekly prayer services 2.
