Frontiers, a flagship MMORPG built so far from scratch in under 3 weeks to showcase capabilities, is almost ready! If you've played games like Runescape, Elden Ring, WoW or Ragnarok Online you'll feel right at home in Frontiers. Here's a quick demo/walkthrough!

@HYTOPIAgg Please keep updating Frontiers. Don’t just let it be a demo. Eventually integrating market dynamics, tradeables, topia$, portals, outsourcing levels (paid in topia$), etc. It is limitless really. Making a game pushing the limits will make developer realize its potential!

@HYTOPIAgg That’s the plan 👍👍

@HYTOPIAgg Commander Mark can see you and whoever’s behind you

@HYTOPIAgg Vision wide, hitbox wider.

super impressive. it’s been really cool to watch you build it. thanks for all the updates you’ve been sharing with us. is there anywhere you’ve written out how you tackle building a game? like what do you start working on first, what layers and systems do you add when, etc. i’d love to learn how you think about it. i had two different approaches when building battlecube and overseer. my approach for overseer i think was better than for battlecube, but i know i could improve a lot.

Good Q! I was actually thinking about this recently. Once Frontiers ships my plan is revamp the intro SDK docs with a day or two of polish time to get them up to date with all the recent developments. Then I think something like this is a great idea - a walkthrough or quick video guide from my perspective of how I think about setting up a HYTOPIA project, structuring it, and how AI tooling can be used to speedline overall development.

@HYTOPIAgg Can’t wait to make some content on here to bring on new players! This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for

@HYTOPIAgg Just an idea, what if instead for the next game jam, you open it up for creators to submit various areas/quests and choose the best and integrate them into frontiers?

@HYTOPIAgg This is so good, awesome job Ark, really shows the capabilities of the SDK to its fullest

@HYTOPIAgg Even though it's pixelated, Minecraft style, I can tell it's very well built on the backend with good coding. Everything is crisp, hi-fidelity, running smooth with high frames per second. These guys know how to build.
