FSD 14.3.6 Is no good 😞 Parking, Navigation, and here is a critical intervention someone sent me. This was in DC where FSD didn’t read the sign that the carpool lane was closed and didn’t get out of the way or didn’t see the gates. He attempted 3 times... show more

Watch how safely FSD Beta 11.4.2 changes lanes while being mindful of cars and trucks from two lanes over merging at the same time, while also keeping flow of traffic, and finally taking the safest opportunity to complete the navigation. $TSLA 🇰🇷 BREAKING : I just experienced FSD (Supervised) for the first time in Korea. The vehicle is Model X and the FSD version is *V14.1.4. We have yet to see any official cases of V14 being applied outside of the United States and Canada. I've just completed my first FSD run for about an hour. (I've experienced about 10,000km of FSD in the U.S.) Except for the parking lot, there was never a case where I intervened during the FSD drive. The first impression of the FSD that works in Korea is that it is very amazing and a great achievement of the Tesla AI team. Although there was one case where I went off the road without following the navigation, the FSD thought to itself and drove on the right path. The overall experience in Korea was very good, such as turning left, turning right, U turn, joining lanes, and changing lanes. It's kind of like... an American driver driving in Korea on an international driver's license. If more data is generated in the future and the number of users increases, higher achievement of FSD in Korea is very much expected. I can't wait for more people to experience FSD in Korea! (Tesla Korea is a HW4 vehicle that purchased FSD and will update the FSD (Supervised) in the future for vehicles suitable for VIN number 5or7.

As requested, here is the footage. FSD 14.1.4 was taking a right out of a parking lot. There was a mail truck in the closest lane and FSD attempted to take a really wide turn around the truck and go into the far lane, but there was a minivan clearly coming in that lane. I wasn't sure which lane it was trying to get in. When it started going in front of the minivan I took over. The minivan was paying attention and braked, honked their horn, and went around me as I pulled out of their lane. I found it weird because 14 is usually way too cautious at intersections.

First drive & impressions of FSD 14.2 in South Central Texas. I just received the update on my 2025 Model 3 & went out to test it on some areas where FSD has had difficulties in previous versions including the previous FSD 14.1.7 and also to get overall impressions. Overall, it did well over about 45 miles of driving on rural highways, congested areas with lots of traffic, construction, grocery store busy parking lots & rural post office destinations. Although in general it did very well in a variety of situations, a few stood out that I want to highlight where I did have disconnects & unusual behaviors that seem to have been introduced with FSD 14.2. Summary of Strengths: Smooth, confident most of the time, and polished. Felt comfortable at all times while FSD was driving the car. This includes all of the driver settings (Sloth, Chill, Standard, Hurry & Mad Max) Opportunities & areas with challenges: - Navigation database mismatches really becoming a glaring deficiency with the approach Tesla AI is using, not just because of recent or ongoing construction, but also with established routes, roads & destinations - FSD 14.2 stopped unexpectedly at a gas station that was not part of the route or any destination in the route. After parking, I tapped the Start Self Driving button and the car resumed as if it was starting at an intermediate stopping point & it continued on to the original destination. - A second strange Navigation challenge happened when arriving at my home. For no apparent reason, it tried to go to my neighbors house … something no previous FSD version has done. Very strange. - Construction prevented FSD from entering into the selected grocery store entrance, but instead of taking several obvious nearby detour routes or doing a U-turn, it re-mapped the route & drove a few miles past the grocery store & into a residential area, did a turn around & then rerouted all the way back to the grocery store. This was several miles of added driving & passed numerous paths that were much closer & available. - Parking in angled parking spaces continues to be a big challenge for FSD 14.2 … it took up two parking spaces & at an odd angle when parking at a rural Post Office, disregarding the painted signs & angled marks on the parking spaces & the sign posts for the parking spaces. It also attempted to drive the wrong way in the one-way parking area. - Speed profiles seem a bit better, but speeding, especially in my neighborhood area is still excessive. For some reason, a posted 25 mph section showed a 65 mph speed sign on the MCU display & FSD tried to drive to that speed. This might be related to navigation databases mismatches issues mentioned earlier. In summary, I think Tesla FSD 14.2 shows some promising signs of progress, but still has several areas that need additional work, the biggest of which is the navigation databases mismatch issues. I’d like to see some way for owners to provide inputs to the FSD team to provide navigation map updates that can help fix these issues. Also, having a way to “train” FSD in specific areas, say at your home so it knows how to properly enter the driveway, back into the garage, select which side of the garage, etc… would be very helpful.

FSD V14.1.7 Takes me downtown to see a show with the push of a button. It's absolutely incredible what a Tesla is capable of on V14. This is a ~50 minute drive and it ends in an underground parking garage and it was 100% handled by FSD, all I did was press a button.

This may be the longest reverse I have seen Tesla FSD do for me. I was dropping a passenger off at a "local motel", all the way in the back where there is a big fence separating the motel from an industrial junkyard and no easy way to get back out. Tesla FSD v14.2.2 did an amazingly long reverse, all the way through the front gate and then turn around to get on our way to the next passenger. Every day there seems to be something new from Tesla FSD that I see while doing Uber in Houston that just amazes me.

Chinese NIO influencer Dong Maimai recently flew from China to California to try FSD 14.1. He was blown away by its capabilities. Here is a scenario he shared where FSD waited behind a car by the garage ticket dispenser and then FSD decided to back out and switched to the empty lane on the right to pick up a parking ticket before the access control arm was lifted up. This example shows the strong situational awareness of FSD and quick execution. No other systems can do this other than FSD.

First disengagement on FSD 13.2.9! After multiple lane changes, FSD failed to slow sufficiently for a flatbed semi, pushing so close that Automatic Emergency Braking kicked in and shut it down. Ashok Elluswamy 13.2.9 didn’t pass the coffee test as my coffee ended up all over me and my car 😂 Tesla AI please review.

I had one of those moments today that really showed me how much Tesla’s FSD has improved. We were heading to our next destination, and I turned on FSD in my Cybertruck. Instead of taking the obvious route out of the parking lot, it made a turn and drove straight into a parking garage. At that point, my significant other was yelling at me to disengage bc she didn’t want to waste time. Her argument was simple… FSD will probably get confused in a situation like this and we may end up going on an infinite loop FSD ride here. A parking garage is a pretty challenging environment if you think about it… multiple levels, ramps, tight turns, parked cars, limited visibility, and signs that can be easy to miss. But I told her I wanted to see what it would do. My thinking was that the latest version of FSD is much better at understanding their surroundings, reading signs, recognizing where they are, and making decisions based on what they see in real time. Sure enough, after realizing it wasn’t on the correct path, my Cybertruck kept moving, analyzed the situation, followed the garage layout, went all the way to the top floor, found the exit, and drove itself back out. Then it continued toward our destination without me touching the wheel. What impressed me wasn’t that it made a wrong turn… tbh human drivers do that all the time. What impressed me was that it recognized the situation, adapted, and successfully recovered on its own. Years ago, that probably would have been the end of the experiment bc it would go on an infinite loop, eventually resulting in a disengagement. Today, with FSD v14.3.4, it felt like watching the AI handle an unexpected problem and work its way through it. For me, that’s one of the biggest signs of progress in Tesla FSD, where it’s not 100% perfect, yet being able to make sense of a mistake, figuring out a solution, and moving forward.

Tonight I used FSD to leave a parking lot. It exited correctly but accidentally turned into a car wash entrance, thinking it was the exit. It literally had nowhere to go because the car wash was closed. For some people, if this happened to them, they would get mad and say, “FSD is trash—it can’t even leave a parking lot correctly.” They would disengage, turn around, leave, and talk about how much of a regression the software is. Note: This was on FSD 14.3.3. For me, my first thought was: Okay, how many times have we ourselves taken a wrong turn by accident and needed to turn around? Maybe we misread a road sign, maybe we were talking to someone and not paying attention, or maybe we were on our phone and made a mistake. Yet we give ourselves a pass. We just turn around and don’t think anything of it. So I thought, Let’s see what FSD does. Well, it took a few tries, but it nicely turned around and found the correct exit all on its own. I didn’t do anything. It didn’t phone home to Tesla or need anyone to correct it. My point is that so many people discredit how good FSD really is because they want to highlight the mistakes. I think it’s more important to recognize how well it can safely address those mistakes and find a solution on its own.

FSD v14.1: Parking has seen a step change improvement from v13 to v14, including at Superchargers. One area not yet fully-solved is parking at slanted pull-through stalls. But after about an hour of trying, I finally got it to work! The most frequent issues: - overshooting the row of slanted chargers and parking at a non-charging spot past the chargers - successfully parking at a slanted stall but not pulling in far enough In some instances, the car would overshoot the slanted chargers, park at a slanted non-charger spot nearby, go into park, automatically reroute itself to the opposite row, and back into a traditional back-in spot. It did this on a handful of occasions. The same behavior was possible after parking with me rerouting to the charger on the screen and reengaging FSD, but most of the time it went all the way around the parking lot before trying and failing again. This is a significant improvement from even just yesterday morning, when the car tried to back in straight in between two slanted spots! In ~20 attempts this afternoon, I didn’t experience this once. Anecdotally, across my attempts today, the car seemed to get a bit better each time… but it’s hard to say whether or not it’s learning on the fly locally. Ashok Elluswamy - any insight? 🙂 I have no doubt the Tesla AI team will solve this case given how much progress has been shown with v14.1 already. Keep up the great work!

While taking my wife to work this morning Tesla FSD 14.3.2 decided to take us off the navigation and on a 3-minute detour of the Woodlands. But then as soon as my wife was saying something about the navigation snafu, FSD showed her what is truly important, as it avoided a car in the opposite lane of traffic coming into our lane while being a jackass trying to go around a school bus full of kids. My wife may not have been pleased with the 3-minute detour, but then Tesla FSD said "put some 'spec on my name woman!"

This is WILD American went to a parking garage in Detroit with a friend. This traffic circle has been a long-standing pain point for me on FSD. As you can see, the car consistently drives in the bike lane here. I’ve documented this behavior before on FSD 12, 13, and now 14. The issue appears to stem from outdated map data. This section of the circle used to function as a two-way roadway. At the time, there was no bike lane and vehicles traveled in the space FSD still prefers today. Since the redesign, that area is now a dedicated bike lane, but FSD doesn’t reliably recognize the change. Depending on the version, it will occasionally handle this correctly, but most of the time it does not. This is currently the only issue I consistently experience with FSD. It’s not safety critical. The car will move if a cyclist, vehicle, or object is present, but reliance on outdated map data in locations like this needs to improve.
