FSD did not stop at the intersection. I drove 180 miles r/t to do this test and FSD was flawless the entire trip except for this intersection. I blame the speed limit, the bend in the road, the foliage, and the horrible design of this intersection. I still love FSD and wouldn’t have a car without it.

Watching the car respond to tiny changes in body language almost feels like you’re communicating with a living creature. Stand perfectly still with the stop sign up? It won’t budge. Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. This traffic circle has been a long-standing pain point for me on FSD. As you can see, the car consistently drives in the bike lane here. I’ve documented this behavior before on FSD 12, 13, and now 14. The issue appears to stem from outdated map data. This section of the circle used to function as a two-way roadway. At the time, there was no bike lane and vehicles traveled in the space FSD still prefers today. Since the redesign, that area is now a dedicated bike lane, but FSD doesn’t reliably recognize the change. Depending on the version, it will occasionally handle this correctly, but most of the time it does not. This is currently the only issue I consistently experience with FSD. It’s not safety critical. The car will move if a cyclist, vehicle, or object is present, but reliance on outdated map data in locations like this needs to improve.

One of the simplest things for humans, but incredibly complex for machines, is anticipating the unpredictability of children. Here FSD rolls up in direct sun, spots the kid way before I did, and applies the brakes. But what came after stunned me. Another bike, and another, then a gap, and another bike (and a bonus scooter). At no time did FSD attempt to jump the gap between the children (even when it could have). There was no jitter or indecision. FSD just patiently waited until they all came around the corner and crossed the street. It stayed perfectly still so as not to scare the children. Just like a human would. I’ve seen a lot of amazing things with FSD, but this one really impressed me on a deeper level. As a father, I’m happy knowing more people are using Tesla FSD to keep their own kids safe and to ensure the safety of the kids on the road.

Looking forward to the comments telling me how this wasn’t an issue, and that it was a 100iq move by FSD to try and go around the trailer without stopping, since I was in hurry mode. Reality is every human on earth would have seen this trailer and stopped well before I did. FSD has good days and bad days, yesterday I drove for hours without a single issue, and imagined a world of FSD unsupervised being right around the corner. But then today I see that the car will still gladly run itself into the back of a massive trailer, and my dreams of unsupervised happening anytime soon get a bit dashed. Anyways as always just want to share, good and the bad. Tesla AI

FSD slams on the brakes for a cat in the road that doesn’t even exist. This is FSD 12.6.4 on HW3, which is a lot more sensitive to shadows & objects in the road with the 2026.8.6 update. There are many reports of brake stabbing. It brings me back to the days when I was testing with v10.3 of FSD back in 2021. It’s interesting that it’s the same FSD version as before, and not something like 12.6.4.1, but I guess Tesla can change the weights without changing the version. And they’ve likely been doing this for a while with 12.6.4. 😒

$TSLA 🇰🇷 BREAKING : I just experienced FSD (Supervised) for the first time in Korea. The vehicle is Model X and the FSD version is *V14.1.4. We have yet to see any official cases of V14 being applied outside of the United States and Canada. I've just completed my first FSD run for about an hour. (I've experienced about 10,000km of FSD in the U.S.) Except for the parking lot, there was never a case where I intervened during the FSD drive. The first impression of the FSD that works in Korea is that it is very amazing and a great achievement of the Tesla AI team. Although there was one case where I went off the road without following the navigation, the FSD thought to itself and drove on the right path. The overall experience in Korea was very good, such as turning left, turning right, U turn, joining lanes, and changing lanes. It's kind of like... an American driver driving in Korea on an international driver's license. If more data is generated in the future and the number of users increases, higher achievement of FSD in Korea is very much expected. I can't wait for more people to experience FSD in Korea! (Tesla Korea is a HW4 vehicle that purchased FSD and will update the FSD (Supervised) in the future for vehicles suitable for VIN number 5or7.

The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. Hate to be that guy but it needs to be said. Tesla has not yet solved FSD and there is no guarantee it will be solved by June Don't misunderstand me, I'm not predicting it won't be ready. I'm simply reminding a specific group of people that seem to be operating under the assumption it's already a done deal If it was truly solved, we would have Unsupervised. Yes, it's incredible 99% of the time but cracking the code for the final 1% is excruciatingly difficult While we're on the subject - does FSD pull out in front of people and then take its good old time for anyone else? This is a behavior I'm really not a fan of and seems to happen regularly for me on 13.2.8 and 13.2.7 (AI4) We still don't have answers for sun glare - I watch an unhealthy amount of FSD videos and I still see this happening more than I'd like to Yes, snow is another story but initially this isn't really part of the rollout plan for TX and CA. Makes sense to solve for better conditions first Lane selection is still an issue where I'm at as you can see in this clip. Wish I would have had my camera ready for this but I was using FSD and the navigation just needed to go straight through the intersection. Instead, for no reason, it got into the left lane (left turn only) and stayed there. When I got the green arrow it just sat at the light (luckily no one was behind me so I stayed for a bit) and I eventually took over and just made the left turn You'd think basic things like this would be solved by now. Maybe it's the map data but even if it is, that's still a problem This will undoubtedly get misinterpreted and that's fine, but I've felt like some caution around Unsupervised would be healthy for certain pockets of the $TSLA community I'm still as confident as ever that Tesla will be the first to solve for generalized autonomy and I don't think it's close (especially in the US), but there's at least a non-zero percent chance it happens later than this June

Two police officers approached me in Yosemite today and told me I “cannot use FSD” because, according to them, there have been “many accidents” involving it. I highly doubt either of them has spent hundreds of hours using the latest version, bc this is what FSD v14.3.6 was doing for me… smoothly guiding my Cybertruck through Yosemite’s winding roads, slowing before sharp curves, staying centered in its lane and handling the entire drive while I enjoyed the scenery and ready to take over. I told them that I trust this technology to drive me more than I trust myself to manually drive. Of course no technology is accident-free… but the real question is how often accidents happen compared to normal human driving. And according to Tesla’s latest reported safety data, vehicles using FSD (Supervised) travel roughly 7x farther between major collisions than the U.S. average. FSD is still supervised, and the driver remains responsible at all times… but saying the technology is unsafe simply bc accidents have happened ignores the rate, the data and how quickly the system continues to improve. So I gave them both the middle finger and continued my trip on Tesla FSD.
