Exactly one year after playing her final college volleyball game with a transgender teammate, Brooke Slusser has revealed the stress and anxiety from the situation caused her to develop an eating disorder and anorexia, which led to a very big problem. I think I got nine weeks to go in this course and part of it is I’m writing a thesis. So it’s a lot of ground work, and busy work… it’s going well, I’m very much looking forward to it being done and having a little bit of brain space free. In 35 minutes of speaking about this, she never says that she should have focused more on school. Second, she blames her partying phase on a difficult breakup and really doesn’t take any responsibility for the debauchery she was involved in. It sounds very similar to modern women wanting to find themselves after being tied down by a serious relationship. Third, while Stuckey denies sleeping around in high school, there was no such denial regarding her college years. Such an omission is quite suspicious. Finally, Allie adopts the same “God fixes everything for promiscuous women” attitude that has been playing on repeat this week, including from Allie herself. If indeed she had a promiscuous phase in college, that would no doubt inform her perspective on the Ashley Sheatz story. What do you think?

Multiple riot police officers in full gear suddenly grab a lone woman, violently throw her to the ground, then three or four pile on top of her. They pin her down and wrench her arms right up her back while handcuffing her. This is exactly what people mean by two-tier policing. A completely unnecessary, heavy-handed show of force against one woman. No context justifies this level of aggression. The police are supposed to be a public service, working with the people. Instead, they’ve become state enforcers, an arm of the regime delivering selective justice and raw intimidation.
