A man who says he was the person of interest being questioned in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie has been released. The man, who only wants to be identified as Carlos, said he was detained after a traffic stop. Carlos said he was shocked when he was pulled over and didn't know who Guthrie is. "I'm innocent," he said, adding that he hopes the suspect is found soon so his name could be cleared. Authorities haven't confirmed that Carlos was the person of interest or that the person of interest has been released. As the officer was searching the premises he ran into Trey an employee of the hotel and also African American. The officer proceeded to pull his firearm on and hold Trey at gun point for a number of minutes. The whole time Trey had his hands up and was eventually on his knees. This guy just rips into this officer. 😳 Anyone that ever had a bad day only to be iced off by getting pulled over? That seems to be where this guy is right here. He says just about everything that someone wants to say on a day like that, but usually we do not. He also brings up an interesting debate.. The law says he must present his ID and technically he is presenting it. Does that mean he needed to hand it to the officer or was he legal in what he did?

This dad called 911 because his seven year old autistic son wasn’t behaving and was having a tantrum. The officer that spoke with him told the father that it was completely inappropriate to call the police over this. He said they have an entire town to protect and three officers responded and then asks the dad while chuckling - “can’t handle a seven year old?” The dad tells him that he has called 911 twice before but no one has ever got mad at him like this officer. The officer tells him that they are approaching charging him with false summoning a police officer. He also tells him that if he can’t handle a seven year then maybe they should get CYS involved because clearly the dad needs parenting classes. 😳 Many said the officer was rude and didn’t have to be. That his job is to protect and SERVE the community and that the family was just reaching out, that he needed support and someone to to talk to because they have no idea how hard it is to raise an autistic child? But others said this is not a job for a police officer, that they aren’t counselors and therapists and that there are many resources available through the city that he should using. 💯 I am team police officer. Some may find it rude but this is not in their job description. And being the third time? You have to put a stop to the 911 calls. What do you think? Do you think the officer had a right to be upset and talk the way he was talking to the dad being that this is the third time this has happened? Or, do you think he should have had more compassion for the father?

A teenager in Wisconsin was handcuffed and detained by local police while headed home from church with his grandmother after passerby told cops he was robbing her. Akil Carter, 18, was detained for six minutes after his grandmother’s blue Lexus was pulled over by officers. An officer on patrol had been flagged down by a black couple who claimed two black men had just robbed a white woman, and were sitting in the back of a blue Lexus. Zalewski said the couple pointed out the car, which was then pulled over by an officer in a “non-approach traffic stop.” He added that the citizen who reported the incident did not stick around to give a formal statement as requested by officers. Video footage of the incident shows police pulling over the Lexus and demanding Carter exit with his hands up. He does, and eventually begins walking backward to where the patrol vehicle is located. This woman was pulled over on the side of the road, so a cop stopped to check on her. She claimed her daughter was having a fit and that was why she pulled over. The officer said she had flat tires but she didn’t seem to recognize that. What’s obvious is the slur in her voice. It’s either alcohol or possibly prescription drugs. It’s a shame she got into the vehicle with children like that. What should the punishment be? Don’t drive under the influence!

This dude took over the parking spot that the local PD likes to radar from and the officers can't handle it. It's like a child that got their favorite toy taken away. We are in Henrico County for this one. You have a citizen journalist that is aware of the favorite parking spot that the local PD loves to post up at to conduct speed traps. The journalist took over the parking spot minutes before the officer and let's just say, the officers was lost on what to do about it. The attempt by the officer he pulled up behind the parked vehicle of the journalists. Officer James approached the driver’s side window, standard protocol and tried to turn things into a welfare check, and requested that the driver roll down the glass. Right from the jump, the driver established his boundary: he flatly refused to roll down the window, asserting through the glass that he could hear the officer perfectly fine. Recognizing a non-standard situation, Officer James immediately called for backup ("Code 2") while attempting fish for something to escalate the situation and turn this into a traffic stop. He began by asking if the journalist was broken down, experiencing a medical emergency, or in need of assistance. What followed was a clinic on how to handle the police through awkward silence. Instead of speaking, the driver responded to the officer's safety inquiries exclusively with thumbs-up gestures through the closed window. The interaction hit a snag when Officer James questioned why the journalist was stopped in a turn lane. While the driver refused to answer out loud to the officer, he later pointed his camera to show the layout of the road.
