I’m going to be honest. It’s been really hard on me. I’m unapologetically black in a predominantly white space and I face battles that no one else has to deal with. Culturally I’m different from literally every other person in this space so I feel completely misunderstood at times. People create fake accounts to harass me, I’ve been called the N word more times than I ever have in my life, people who I don’t even know go on podcasts and make up lies about me being a “runner”. Some people even found my mom’s number on the internet and called her house trying to get to me. Even when I’m winning it feels like every single bet or analysis is life or death. I don’t feel like I’m given the grace that other people may get who look different from me. I love what I do but I don’t deserve to be treated the way I’m treated by people especially for how much I’ve given to this space. I also don’t take kindly to being constantly called a DEI hire with all the things I’ve accomplished either. I probably don’t handle it the best. Ivy League degree aside, deep down I’m still a black kid from South West Philly and when I feel attacked, I revert back to the version of me that had to survive growing up. I try not to engage as much and ignore the noise but I’m not perfect. I’m still growing and still trying to become the best version of myself.

Posting this here for everyone who missed it when I went live yesterday… TLDW — my streams could’ve gone in a completely different direction if not for the support and concern from my community, friends, and family — I may be new to streaming but this is genuinely something I love and want to pursue longterm. When I’m planning a trip I usually expect things to go as planned when it comes to the hotel. But what do I do when I get there and it’s nothing like what I expected? Should I stay or complain or should I just leave? Let me know what you do. I ended up just leaving because it wasn’t any cheaper to stay. For me it’s like ordering a high end burger for $30 and getting a $2 burger from McDonald’s for the $30 price. In a world where money walks I let my wallet do the talking and trying to pull the bait and switch on me won’t work.

🐰 there are times when i go to the filming set and wait nine hours but my turn won’t come. it felt like nonstop waiting. there were instances that people saw i was so cold and they’d give me hotpacks or turn on heaters for me but at that time i thought i didn’t deserve that treatment yet. so i kept saying “i’m okay, it’s fine” and those words were stuck in my mouth like a habit. and as i kept saying that, i got frostbite on my fingers! ㅎㅎ i think this is the first time i’m talking about this! from that day on, my fingers kept throbbing and my nails fell off so i had to go to the hospital. it was that cold but i actually just brushed it off..

There’s no way I’m sleeping in my bed tonight. I’m taping off the doors and crashing on the couch with a makeshift flamethrower next to me. I’m not even afraid of bugs, but what I am afraid of is weird fuckin noises coming from my medicine cabinet and then when I open it, I see nothing. Then when I close it and I walk away, I hear the fuckin sound again, and it literally stops the second I turn around like it fuckin knows. It also stops when I shine a light on it from the doorway, when I get too close to it, and when I fuckin look at it. I wrote off every item in there and dumped a bottle of Clorox and bee spray in there like I was putting out a fuckin fire. Oh one final thing, this has been going on for three days I just thought it was my tv making a weird noise but everything in that room is now unplugged.
