Trump: I was talking to people from Austria, people from Finland and people who live in forests. One of the gentlemen, one of the great leaders of Austria says we don't have forest fires, we have trees that are more flammable than in California but they literally rake their forests, if it trickles down they take it down. They say you have 18 months and after that it is a matchstick. I know some environmental groups like the trees to melt into the ground but when they do they become an inferno. You have to change your ways.

If you have a tree outside your house, or one that you pass on your daily walk, then you can help. According to the Met Office rainfall between January and June 2022 was the lowest since 1976. Established mature trees are able to find their own water. However, it is recommended that newly planted trees are given 50 litres of water per week during the summer months, for the first three years after planting.

Most search APIs are still just the human workflow wrapped in an endpoint. Octen rebuilt the stack from the ground up for machines—indexing, ranking, and serving. 62ms per search. ~$1 per 1,000 requests. The interface changed years ago. The search engine finally caught up.

Our primitives team has been working on a new project we're calling "trees". Trees will be a new SSR, shadow dom, drag and drop, virtualized, vanilla js / react web-component, with a handful of search / filter niceties, collapsible repo paths, themeabilty, diff stat representation, and more. Like most Pierre Computer Company things, it's built very well by people that care a lot about these sorts of things. Sadly so far trees[dot]com is unwilling to give us their domain.
