Really glad they didn't go down this direction, Cayde being there to sacrifice himself for our ghost was Far better

On one hand, Cayde would've survived. But on the other, its a good thing this ending didn't happen. Cause that would mean we'd basically just have the power to freely resurrect everyone. It would mean the tenet of "Sacrifice" would have no meaning anymore.

Considering how powerful our guardian is now, it makes sense

So we can revive someone using our light and darkness powers. Interesting 🤔

honestly I'm glad that this isn't the ending we got, Cayde sacrificing himself and dying in his own terms hits me a lot harder then us magically being able to resurrect our ghost

Honestly? I think I prefer the Cayde one. This would’ve had way too many implications lore wise. If we can revive ghosts then all sorts of dead guardians could come back, Cayde included, which would’ve messed up the story. Caydes sendoff to give us Ghost was the better option.

Tbh the ending we got of Cayde giving his life for our Ghost was much better. Had much more emotional weight.
