PS5 emulation just hit another exciting milestone. SharpEMU can now boot Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition all the way to the main menu, running at a smooth 60 FPS. Current progress: • Game boots successfully • Main menu renders correctly • Stable 60 FPS in the menu • UI is fully responsive • Controller input is working • Graphics render without major corruption • Debug performance overlay is active This may not look like much, but reaching a fully interactive 60 FPS menu is a huge step in emulator development. The usual progression is: Black screen → Logos → Menu → Gameplay → Playable. SharpEMU has now cleared another major hurdle on that journey. Credit:Discord/Arbis

Current progress: • Main menu boots • World loads • Some blocks, like beds, render correctly • Basic rendering pipeline appears functional The biggest issue now seems to be texture handling. The PS5's texture memory still isn't being translated correctly into Vulkan images, causing most textures to break. It's far from playable, but every correctly rendered object is another clue that the emulator is moving in the right direction. Credit: discord/Arbis
