Fable 5 comes back！It can now build playable game prototypes. I think it is actually a signal for where AI coding is going. Making a game is not just “write some code.” Even a small browser game needs: game loop；character movement；collision logic；scoring system；UI states；physics tuning；visual feedback；bug fixing；playtesting This is why game prototyping is a great test for AI models. A model cannot fake it with a pretty answer. Either the game runs, or it does not. What impressed me about Fable 5 is that it is useful for the messy middle: turning an idea into mechanics, turning mechanics into code, debugging broken interactions, and iterating until the prototype feels playable. But here is the practical part: I would not use the strongest model for every step. For game building, I would split the workflow: 1. Fable 5 for game design + architecture 2. a fast coding model for routine implementation 3. a vision-capable model for screenshot/UI feedback 4. a cheaper model for docs, test cases, and small fixes 5. fallback when latency, cost, or output quality becomes a problem That is the real AI coding stack. Not “one magic model does everything.” More like: the right model, for the right task, at the right cost, with fallback when things break. This is why I’ve been looking at ZenMux ZenMux. ZenMux gives developers one gateway to access multiple leading AI models, with OpenAI / Anthropic / Google Vertex compatible APIs, cost tracking, quality benchmarks, auto-routing, and compensation when output quality, latency, or throughput falls short. Very pleasantly surprised to discover Cursor cloud agents can playtest the godot game I built. See the (sped up) video below of the agent playtesting the game. As I was watching it play the game, I can see the agent slowly learn how the game works and familiarise with the game's UI. I also realised that the agent is a very 'safe' player, choosing to play very safely and retreating from battle if it foresees it can't defeat. Very interesting to see. I wonder if I could simulate different game playtester behaviours that mimic different types of real-world player archetypes. With agentic playtesting, this means that the agents are able to provide actual gameplay feedback and suggestions to improve the game, having played the game itself. This unlocks a whole lot of possibilities for AI-assisted game dev, since it closes the playtest loop. This feels like the future of recursive game development, where agents can now recursively build > playtest > improve the games they are working on. Thanks edwin for letting me know that these agents can actually playtest games, not just software! Very excited to dig deeper to see what I can do with these agents with computer access!

For the first time in forever, Coimbatore is faster from Mangalore via the coast than through the hills. Kannur bits are pending. Kozhikode to Palakkad leaves these roads for busy and slow two track roads. But the rest is so perfect, it feels like an AI imagined template. Very drivable with a stop in Kozhikode for lunch. Building vast open expressways in barren landscape is one thing. But building them through the density of Kerala is an insane feat for any country on earth let alone India. Great marking, speed limits, driving etiquette. Super job Nitin Gadkari MORTHINDIA . Can we have this continue through Karnataka till Madgaon where the rest of Konkan north of that begins. It’s will be an insane west coast driving experience through the length of India’s peninsula. Ashwini Vaishnaw is surely going to introduce a VB from CBE to MAQ and work on a west coast railway zone. Kerala journeys have great occupancy and CBE and MAQ are a traditional city pair with huge people movement between them. You can’t be not planning this right now.
