Its definitely gonna win GOTY over GTA VI, but i think GTA wont even make it into the voting registration in time due to its release date being really close to the voting period for the VGA's

It’ll be interesting this year for sure, I’m obviously looking forward to OOT remake but I think because it’s a 1:1 remake it might make it difficult to win GOTY (not entirely sure though!)

I mean it can happen, but its Nintendo and you know damn well the hardcore fans will vote for it xD But still, i am skeptical cause GTA releses around the same time as the voting, plus ik people wont beat the game instantly unless they do a blind speedrun of it

Have you ever played a Zelda before? I’m still fairly new to it, ocarina on the 3DS was such a great experience though and I can’t wait to try the remake

I haven't, in my decades of gaming, though I've been intrigued forever. I did get BotW years ago (among other Switch games) but never got around to getting a Switch yet. Was waiting for the Switch 2, but now waiting on the OLED model.

Hopefully they announce an OLED soon! I’ve not done BOTW or TOTK yet, my girlfriend absoloutely loves them though and she’s the reason I started playing the series, trying to catch up with older games before I get to those behemoths

A bit too soon for that now since the console is fairly new but yes, fingers crossed! That's a good plan too. Almost always best to start a series with the earlier games before the newest. I don't plan to play all Zelda games currently but who knows. Might change my mind if I fall in love with it!
