Even if the SA Police Service 🇿🇦 Anti-Gang Unit wanted to operate (which MANY of them desperately do) to remove these thugs from the streets, they simply... don’t have the resources to do so. We will keep fighting for this on their behalf and also to remove the few rotten apples amongst them. The Western Cape SAPS management is removed from ground level reality. I spent the morning in Tafelsig, and there too, gangs do as they please when they please. We have a hell of a lot of work to do. I stand firm in my belief that if we don’t replace management, nothing can sustainably change.show more

The "El Salvador Way" is the only way. I do not see any way but declaring a State of Emergency and the State using brute force to crush gangs. We way past a certain point of niceties. In fact, we should even consider paying El Salvador a fee to take care of our gang members in their prisons in El Salvador.

@SAPoliceService In the meantime, those people should be taught to arm themselves legally. The gangs will be much more hesitant if the locals defend themselves. Because let's be honest, the beurocracy always moves very slowly.

This is the unconscious bias that my colleagues face every time they put on the uniform. This needs to change…there is no excuse. As an industry we wonder why we have difficulties attracting female and minorities to the role. They just don’t see themselves in that role and on the rare occasion they do, this happens. I have seen this very mistake recently when having breakfast with a colleague who was mistaken as a FA. What can we do to change these perceptions?

My take on this is I feel more officers should take the time to educate the E-bike riders and let them know the consequences of riding in the street and why it’s illegal to do so. So much misinformation about them is out there and I know most kids are gonna do it anyways because they don’t care but it could stop some from doing it. This officer explains to him what’s going to happen to them if they keep riding the E-bikes in the street. This gives them fair warning in advance that they are going to be ticketed and have their bikes impounded. Many parents don’t pay attention to what their kids do until it affects their pockets. People are criticizing the police for targeting them and labeling them a nuisance. If I saw a group of 30 bikes blocking the road and acting reckless, I would be concerned as well. I feel this officer was being patient and fair to him, do you think the police are overreacting?

Prof. Theodore Postol: ‘Iran could build NUCLEAR WEAPONS IN WEEKS if pushed.’ ‘What Iran does not want to do is provoke its neighbours like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, some of the Gulf states, the GCC states into getting nuclear weapons or developing nuclear weapons programmes because Iran’s security would be greatly reduced if it was surrounded by nuclear-armed states. So what the Iranians very cleverly have devised as a strategy is to bring themselves to a point where they can obtain nuclear weapons if they choose to. In other words, relatively quickly but not step across the line. To build a few nuclear weapons from what they have initially, you could imagine it being done in weeks or months easily, and maybe even in weeks. They have the 60% enriched uranium hexafluoride. What they have to do is enrich it to 90%. That takes almost no time given the centrifuges. They have maybe a week. Then they have to convert the uranium hexafluoride, which is a special material. It looks like it’s a gas a lot of the time and sometimes a solid that looks like a salt. You have to convert it to uranium metal. You have to get the fluorine out of it. It’s a straightforward process. And that could take literally, again, a few days even, if they’re set up to do it. And you would expect them to have the equipment set up. If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. They launder money and feed them more drugs, so they can keep their customers locked in this hell on our streets. We have a moral obligation from God to help them and make our city safe and clean for everyone. Karen Bass and Nithya Raman have forsaken this city. Time for real leadership. Time for real compassion.

Nick Saban was asked a question after practice once. His response was 70 seconds of gold on what it takes to be successful in life. Here’s Saban on the Illusion of Choice: “These guys, they all think they have this illusion of choice. Like I can do whatever I want to do. “You have a younger generation now that doesn’t always get told no. They don’t get told this is exactly how you need to do it. So they have this illusion that they have all these choices. “But the fact of the matter is, if you want to be good you don’t really have a lot of choices. It takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. “You have to make the choices and decisions to have the discipline and the focus to the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. “All these guys that think they have a lot of choices are sadly mistaken. As we all have done with our own children, they learn these lessons of life as they get older. “Sometimes the best way to learn is from the mistakes you make, even though we all hate to see them have to make them, and we don’t condone it when they do.” – I’ve studied Saban for 12+ years, and the Illusion of Choice is one of the most powerful concepts I’ve come across. Some key takeaways: 1. Excellence has a price. We can complain about that, but it’s a fact of life. 2. Most people don’t want to pay that price. They just haven’t admitted it to themselves. 3.
