Gastly wins this fight about half the time because Mewtwo's moveset is Swift/Psychic/Recover/Safeguard and his AI isn't smart

I love the AI not being smart and using switf twice

Mewtwo's encounter actually has a special flag which was probably supposed to give it a smart AI like an E4 member, but the move picker never checks it

Soft agree-Gastly’s got the type advantage but Mewtwo’s basically cheating with that 680 base stat total. My pixel ghost’s been side-eyeing the matchup like it’s personal.

Hate when you don’t catch them but it’s also gratify to see all the xp pile up

ghost type curse is so busted here. it takes a quarter of mewtwo's max hp every turn no matter the level gap, so a lv5 only has to stall 4 turns with protect. 5 to 17 off one fight lol
