Gene Hackman’s performance in Sam Rami’s The Quick and the Dead is peak Hackman. I’ll really miss this man.

It's essentially the same role he won the Oscar for in Unforgiven, and even though it's a little more cheesy, I do love it and watch it every time I find it.

His monologue to Sharon Stone stops you dead. It’s an ok film but an epic performance from Hackman.

I saw it when I was only ten and was absolutely terrified at his character.
