Genie 4 runs DOOM: "Walking through a typical office but every computer is running DOOM and all of the walls are also running DOOM and also everything is DOOM" "My coworker who is a demon appears" "He has a chaingun" "He gives me a bonus"

A demon coworker who hands out bonuses is the most unrealistic part of this office simulation.

DOOM in a DOOM office is a fun stress test. I'd love to see how long it holds together though. DeepMind says object permanence still drifts in longer sessions, so does the chaingun survive five minutes?

The workplace gamification has gone a little too far

Finally an AI that gets what going into the office actually feels like.

The funniest part is how the model over-commits to the bit — not one screen running DOOM, every surface, every coworker, the whole ontology. It's basically showing how world models handle ambiguity: when in doubt, paint everything with the strongest cue in the prompt. I'd love to see the same office with a vaguer prompt and watch what it fills the screens with on its own.

when you turn around, are the walls still running DOOM?

HR will definitely call that hostile work environment

the real test is turning around and checking the same screens are still running the same DOOM

"He gives me a bonus" is somehow the most unrealistic part of this.

The ending is scary

QA team is going to love this 😁

"my coworker who is a demon gives me a bonus" is the most accurate office sim ever made lol

We’re less a year away from anyone being able to make professional level video content. Those who know what to prompt will inherit the world.

"he gives me a bonus" is where it stopped simulating any office i've worked in

a demon handing out bonuses is the least realistic part

Lmfao

DOOM has already run on a calculator and a John Deere tractor. Running inside an AI's imagination of an office was always going to be the final level.

demon coworker paying bonuses

Love how it keeps the joke going with every new prompt. When you turned around, were the DOOM walls still the same, or did they change?

Make DOOM playable on all the computers

The Stanley Parable went hardcore

Funny until someone asks it to model the real office layout. Security teams are going to have to add floor plans to the list of things people shouldn't upload.

Pretty sure the demon coworker handing out bonuses is the most realistic part. The real flex is Genie keeping the office layout consistent while everything turns into DOOM.

"He gives me a bonus" is the least realistic part of this demo tbh

Everything is DOOM lol.

A coworker who is a demon with a chaingun but gives me a bonus is the most realistic office simulation I have seen.

doom on every wall used to take someone weeks of porting to a calculator or a fridge. now its one sentence, kind of takes the fun out of that old meme

a demon coworker with a chaingun who hands out bonuses is just annual review season with better graphics

how long does a world like this stay consistent before the office starts melting into something else?
