Ethiopia on the Brink of Full-Fledged Civil War: Ethiopia is on the verge of a full-fledged civil war as ethnic Oromo soldiers march towards the Amhara region, chanting slogans of aggression and targeting the ethnic Amhara population. This alarming development marks a significant escalation in the country's ethnic tensions, which have been fueled by inflammatory rhetoric from leaders within the ethnically Oromo-dominated Ethiopian government. On several occasions, leaders of the Oromo Prosperity Party have made statements inciting violence against the Amhara community. In one particularly instance, a party leader proclaimed that Oromo youth would no longer be sent to destroy the "Neftegna" (a derogatory term for ethnic Amharas) with mere sticks, but with full military backing, including drones. This rhetoric has been matched by actions, with the Ethiopian government's military resources increasingly being deployed as an ethnic tool against the Amharas. Video footage from Oromiya Bale shows Oromo youths, fully equipped and chanting "we will break Neftegna," heading towards the Amhara region with the apparent support of their local population.
