I have one thing to say to these mamby pamby type parents - Gentle parenting sends undisciplined adults on the rest of society to deal with. Stop being bad parents and foisting your failures on the rest of us!

Yeah kid should be told harshly if they won't listen, most of them don't care about what you saying, it ended up causing trouble, and they can't lived like that when their life don't have any consequences.

Gentle parenting doesn't work if the parents can't lead by example. Fathers need to grow up and actually lead not threaten, and women need to find good men who will stick around and be good fathers and husband's that correct misbehavior by their children and wives.

Odd I was treated softly and ended up tough and not useless and not a brat as an older person who knew talking to your kid and not treating them like sub humans works better

If it comes to it fine, but in general, just be smart enough to spot attention seeking outbursts and ignore them. They cause a scene to get attention. They are testing how much control they have over you.
