Genuine question: When you see scenes like this, do you think it represents widespread public anger, or a relatively small group that’s simply very loud and owns an extraordinary number of flags?

Judging by those ive seen in real it represents some really sad angry people Who think its acceptable to use that flag to spread their hate

It's a relatively small but vocal group! Oxygen to these groups is supplied sadly by our mainstream media along with social media!

People with commitments like jobs and mortgages, with bills to pay, children to run around, hobbies, shopping, gardening, and DIY to keep on top of, don't tend to go out in their Sports Direct best fannying around waving flags all day. It's a very noisy minority.

I think they definitely don't uphold the British values taught in every school, which makes them part of the problem they think they're solving 🤷

According to polls there is widespread concern about mass uncontrolled immigration. But what you are seeing is people who are rapidly getting to the stage of "nothing left to lose". Just looking at some of the responses in this thread demonstrates part of it. Mocking, sneering and denigrating people over time has a negative effect. Calling them morons and thick just because some of us have university degrees, also has a negative effect. Demolishing their identity, denigrating their flag and rewriting their history is also part of it. Trashing their ancestry, country and their "whiteness" hurts them. Calling them racist when they have been the most welcoming and generous people on earth angers them. And above all taxing them into penury to pay for their own destruction infuriates them. They are paying more and more, for less and less. So one day, they will really have nothing left to lose. i used to live in lewisham south london and i remember as v small kid the NF would march there and there was a lot more marching i think today social media makes it looks like they have more supporters
