you can use the same image sequence for hanging cloth if you plan your Pinning points well. .. I really should´ve made better looking simulation for this :D

Cool! Never seen this method, I generally just convert cloth to .mdd and then import back to 2 mesh cache modifiers with an offset

Someone ought to just implement MakeLoop from Houdini. Hell you can pop this node open in H and see how SideFX built it even
