I couldn’t believe when the safety car came out lap 7 because that was the safety car where if one comes out everyone stops. I had to double stack, obviously, and I lost places. That was definitely frustrating, and then after that everyone stopping on the same lap. Not a great race to be racing.”

Charles on why he doesn't go on social media anymore: "For many years, I was online a lot in general, but I realized that it changed the perception of certain performances I had in races, because all it took was one good or bad moment in my race, and everything else was kind of forgotten. And yes, that made me change my approach to social media a bit. Now I obviously choose all the photos, all the captions, because the important thing for me is that social media must always be something genuine. Today, police arrested me for nothing around Mile 3, took me into the police station. My car papers are all complete yet they asked why my papers had no engine number. I asked him from the papers he had in his hands, which state government did the registration of the car papers and he said the Rivers state government. I then asked him to call them and ask them why they went ahead to register a car without inputting the engine number. He got furious, ordered me to drive into their station. I then took out my phone and began recording. At this point he got more furious and said I had no right to record him. I reminded him the IGP had said we could record at will. Inside the station, I was handed to a superior officer who tried to gaslight me, tried reverse psychology, everything just to extort me. I told them clearly I will not give them any bribe and remained firm that I had done nothing wrong to be arrested. They changed it to appreciate the police. I told them again that you dont appreciate someone for wasting your precious time when you have clearly committed no crime. They met the wrong customer today. This MAGA no gree pay. After wasting my time with unnecessary long stories and childish intimidation, they let me go. It is the audacity with which they exhibit unlawfulness that upsets me.

I honestly thought that we were faster than we were. I think we need to look at our practice sessions because obviously it was very promising on Friday. We made, I think, a step in the wrong direction on Saturday morning and we didn't move from there. And the car was just very weak in the middle and the last sector. So we couldn't get close to the cars ahead. Soso ultimately, I think process-wise we can improve and then set up the direction that we took was wrong. But I think also the guys around us were really quick. We just needed to qualify quick. Mariana: Yeah, that's why I said that I thought that you had the car for a better position because yesterday you said it was actually a process problem, you know, choosing the right or the wrong tyres. Lewis: Yeah, I think if we qualified in the top three, I think we would have probably stayed there, you know, because people weren't overtaking. So it's just down to qualifying. And we got out the cookbooks and I can't remember how old Nic was at the time, so I must've been at least 17, 18." "We had set time of like 30 minutes to choose whatever you gonna cook and a desert. So we're writing down on his notes, we find Linda's cookbook. We rush down to Co-up and we literally only have like 15-20 minutes or whatever it is in the store. So we're running up and all the isles, trying to find these, I've never done this stuff before so... " "Back then the battery was dead on my car so we had to bump start the car, my mini. So we get home and we go through this whole cooking thing. Mine tasted horrendous, I did like a pasta bake. It was disgusting, even the dog didn't wanna eat it. It was so bad. And my bother made like steak and peppercorns sauce and he's never ever stopped talking about it. 😭😭
