I made a good start, but Max covered Lando, I expected Lando to go to the outside to cover Charles, so I stayed on the inside, but Lando didn’t move across, he got overtaken, I got blocked in as well… If I came out of T1 P4, I’d have finished P4.” “The result is a bad one for us today, but as I said, I was 0.020 off the front row yesterday, had I been that 0.020 faster, I probably could’ve been on the front row. George 🗣️ “I had the steering problem again, from about lap 5 same as I had in quali, but I managed to drive around this and got used to the challenges of this problem. The pace looked quite good in stint 1 and then at the start of my 2 stint when Max came out of the pits I was like ‘Right, I’m gonna attack now to see if I can take the lead’ and I grained my tyres the front right tyre()” “Every lap was just so painful. 🚨 Kimi picked up the remains of Leclerc’s damage twice, in T3 and T8… ℹ️ In T3, the W16 wasn’t affected much, but in T8 he fully picked up the debris under the floor, and from that point Kimi lost DF points and around 0.400 tenths per lap ❗️ - Even if the debris doesn’t look big in the video, it was large enough to cause damage… Anything, no matter how small, can impact the car - especially the floor, which is the most crucial part under these regulations ❗️
