Georgia Southern started practice at Eagle Creek with three straight 4th & 1 plays on the goal line. The defense won all three reps. Makes me think about something an old ball coach said... "If we score, we may win. If they never score, we'll never lose." - Erk Russell

5. If you were frustrated by watching UC try to rush the QB with three defenders over the past two years, that won’t be the case under new DC Nate Woody. “Coach Woody emphasizes sending the blitz,” said edge Brian Simms. “On every play, the offense has to worry about something coming so that’s the good thing about it. It’s never going to be a three-man rush.”

Five observations from Day 10 of #Bengals practice: 1. Dexter Lawrence goes through drills under the watchful eye of team president Mike Brown. Today I asked Zac Taylor if this is the best D-line he’s ever coached. “Yeah, as a head coach here,” he said. “Obviously, we have high-end talent, but I think top to bottom overall, the depth is something that you’re really excited about.”

4 separate handball incidents Connor Barron- • Gets the ball hit at him and accidentally hits his arm while his body is turned • The ref doesn’t see it • Nobody claims it and the game plays on • There’s another 2 phases of play, including Aberdeen TOUCHING the ball • VAR pull it all the way back to disallow the goal Lawrence Shankland- • Intentionally controls the ball with his arm • Hearts go up the park and score • Shankland barely celebrates and openly says “it’s a handball” about 5 times • VAR “check” it and allow the goal • Then Shankland celebrates it Gogic and Trusty handballs- • After getting a penalty vs Celtic for Sterling’s “handball” they set the bar that anything going on target, hand away from the body, accidental or not, it’s a penalty. Also the fact Dundee conceded a penalty for a handball offence with a pass going away from goal the same day 😂 The ONLY thing that’s the same in all these incidents is they benefit any team up against Rangers. Don’t care if we win games etc, the blatant cheating needs called out !!!!!

Holy Sh*t: Julian Edelman goes OFF on #Steelers HC Mike Tomlin for never changing his defensive game plan: "They still do the same God damn sh*t [as] when I was playing [Mike] Tomlin's defense. I'm like, 'We still have linebackers covering the three slot?’ Every time we play Steelers, I have at least nine catches. You would think that they would change it but no, they do what they do." 😳😳😳 (via Games with Names)

Trump made a series of statements about different countries at the NATO summit On Spain: “We no longer want to do any trade with Spain. Spain is a terrible NATO partner.” On Greenland: “Greenland is very important to the United States, but it is not important to Denmark. Basically, we took Greenland and then foolishly gave it back. We should never have given it back.” On Iran: “The Iranians are incompetent. They are liars. If they were competent, they would have made a deal 47 years ago. We agreed: no nuclear weapons. Then they go out and tell the press, ‘We never even talked about that.’ There’s something wrong with them. They’re cuckoo.” On Chinese President Xi Jinping: “I think China has treated us fairly. 🚨 Ferran Torres reveals Spain's final team talk: "The coach told me Argentina were waiting for penalties he sent me on to finish the game. 🗣️ Ferran Torres When I was about to come on, the coach called me over and showed me exactly where Argentina were leaving space. He pointed out the gaps behind their midfield and told me they had stopped trying to win the match. In his eyes, they were already thinking about taking the game to penalties. He looked at me and said, 'If this goes to penalties, it becomes a different game. We have to finish it before then.' He told me to attack with confidence, make aggressive runs and be brave in front of goal. His message was simple: don't wait go and decide the final. That gave me so much belief. As a substitute, you dream of moments like that. The manager trusted me with the biggest responsibility in football, and I wanted to repay that trust. Scoring in a World Cup final is something I'll remember forever, but it all started with the confidence the coach gave me before I stepped onto the pitch.

Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles and the Utah Jazz were up 3-1 on Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets in the 2020 playoffs. But Denver came all the way back to tie the series at 3-3. And then in Game 7... With 30 seconds to go, the score was tied 78-78, when Jokic backs down Gobert for a righty hook that put Denver up 80-78. But somehow the ball found it's way to Conley for this buzzer-beating pull up 3 for the win that rims out. I think Mike would tell you that might have been the low point of his career. There's something fitting about Conley, at 38 years old, out of nowhere, moving back into the starting lineup with his team up 3-1 on Denver. I think an earned shot at redemption.

MJ: "You only got three, I got six." When asked in 2017, who ranks higher between LeBron and Kobe, MJ picked Kobe. His reasoning: "Would I rank LeBron over Kobe in terms of best of all time? No. There's something about five that beats three." The goal has always been to win championships. Trying to include Robert Horry in the conversation is just a red herring. People try and use Kobe's 00 Finals average as an indictment to his contribution to winning that ring but fail to bring up Kobe's defense in game one, holding Reggie Miller to 1-16 in a decisive 104-87 victory. Feel free to read that again. To show you Kobe's value, he was injured in game 2 after almost 9 minutes of play and what was a 17 point victory turned into a 6 point victory and a 9 point loss in game 3 without him. Indiana could've easily won game 4 after Shaq fouled out, and we all know what happened next. Kobe earned that ring despite how you interpret the box score. At the end of the day, Kobe still has five championships that the Lakers wouldn't have won without him. The proof in that statement lies in the fact that when Kobe had a lesser role in 97, 98, & 99, they were gentlemen swept, swept, and swept before even making the finals. The minute Kobe's role increased, they rattled off three straight championships. That's not a coincidence...

I have not seen enough about the decision from Mike Vrabel and Tim Kelly to go for 2 down by 8 last night. Here’s why I loved it: 1) NFL teams this season have been successful on 55% of two-point conversion attempts. The odds were in the Titans’ favor. 2) Will Levis was dealing in the 2nd half. 3) Titans still had all three timeouts and the two-minute warning. 4) Miami struggled to move the ball on offense all night. Their three scoring drives went for 12, 7, and 59 yards. 5) If successful on the two-point conversion, a stop on defense and a TD wins the game. If unsuccessful, you can still send it to OT. 6) Titans offense marched down the field, scored the TD to make it a one possession game and essentially told Miami, “we are going for two because we know you cannot stop us right now.” The odds are in your favor. It’s a good mathematical decision. You want to psych out an opposing offense? Give them the ball knowing they need to run the clock out, or you are going to have a chance to WIN the game, not send it to overtime. They saw what your offense just did to their defense. They saw your QB on the sideline screaming and hyping everyone up. Cutting the lead to six put WAY more pressure on the Dolphins offense. You want to hype up your defense? Put them back on the field knowing your offense just did their job. Put them back on the field knowing a stop and a TD wins it. At that point, they aren’t in the mindset of “we need a stop to have a chance to go to OT.” They are thinking, “let’s go out here, get a stop, and give our offense a chance to WIN.” There’s a fundamental difference in playing to WIN and playing NOT to LOSE. This was a decision by a coaching staff that was playing to WIN. Brilliant game by Vrabel and Kelly. Brilliant execution late in the game by the offense and the defense. Completely out-coached one of the best offensive minds in the game. #Titans

Official Statement about the "ENDED" GAME 8 of the $10,000 Ascendance Series tonight. We're looking into the issue that occurred. We understand this effected all 3 players on Team Orchid. - Hambino🏳️‍⚧️ - RamBeau - sirsay And potentially griefed their win in this DAY 1 of the series. The team's winnings which could've been $750 if they won the game, were brought down to $300 as they placed 3rd in the event following another 2 matches. We understand that the game trigged an 'ended match by admin' screen, making it seem as if the game was ended by one of our admins, which is 100% wasn't. We know that for certain. Ivan nor MrFoxy who were the only two admins in the series ended the match. It was not done on accident or on purpose. We will look into this issue with the correct people and make another statement as soon as we get word on the issue. For the time being, we offer to reimburse the roster an additional $200 to round up the prize winnings to $500, as we understand they could have easily won Match 8, and it's not a small amount of money they missed out on. We don't want anyone mistaking this as an act of admitting fault in any way. Have a good night. The clip in question:

🎙️ Raphinha after FC Barcelona’s 7-2 win: 🤝 On Hansi Flick and their relationship: “I can’t speak about others, but the truth is I’ve always said this and I’ll keep saying it forever. He’s the coach who changed my mindset so much inside the club, as well as the way I look at myself. That’s why I’m so grateful to him, and whenever I can, I’ll prove it to him.” 📈 On his level and always wanting to improve: “I think it’s always important to think that there’s something you need to improve. I’ll never tell you that I’m fine or that I’ve reached my best level, because if I said that, I’d be lying. I always try to improve everything I can, and I’m certain there’s still something more I can offer the team than what I’m offering now. I’m happy with the goals and the victory, and I think that’s the most important thing. But we have to keep improving, not just individually, but as a team as well.” 🎯 On playing as a striker: “The truth is, I’m comfortable there and scoring goals. I feel like I’m in good form.” Reporter: “Not bad, is it?” Raphinha: “No, not bad.” 😅 🤝 On Lamine after missing the penalty and helping his teammates: “This is normal, and that’s why whenever I can, I’ll try to help him, not just him, but Karim and Gabriel as well. I, more than anyone else, know that a striker needs his goal. We’re trying to do everything we can so he can score. We’re like a family here, and in a family everyone needs to be okay and moving in the same direction. So whenever we can, each one of us tries to help the other.” 🔥 On Adeyemi, the new players and Barça’s mentality: “I think this is the players’ hunger and their constant desire to achieve more. We have a mentality that whenever we can, we should look for more goals and create more chances. On top of that, it shows on the pitch just how strong our bond is as teammates. In that moment, I think Karim saw Lamine in a much better position to score the goal. And I think if we keep going this way, we have everything it takes to be at the top.” 💙❤️

This is why I fell in love with the fans of Red Star Belgrade (Delije). I have never seen or played in a better atmosphere than this one especially when we play at the Maracana stadium. With Delije away games feels like home games and that pressure to always get the first goal early to trigger the fans can be good or bad sometimes if you don't score early. I love every song I love how both old and young people show their love and support for the team. Red Star is like the Real Madrid of the Balkan region with a lot of history and great traditions. Playing in front of this amazing Fans and how they light up the stadium with their enthusiasm is something special. Zvezda Volime te 🔴⚪️

Here's another interesting detail about fishing🎣 We all remember the scene in the novel where Shen Wenlang took Gaotu fishing. Then, in the October 20th live stream, they listed fishing as one of the three things they've done together. At the time, 🌲 explained it was a spur-of-the-moment thing. However, what makes this even more interesting is that they had already brought up fishing earlier, during the live stream with Lele. Right after 🌊 said he would take Lele out to play, he murmured "go fishing," and 🌲 nodded in agreement. So we don't know if this reveals a truly "spur of the moment" trip, or if it was actually a shared plan all along😌 Btw, in real life, 🌊's dad is a big fishing enthusiast 😉

Fair Catch Kick… In the NFHS RULE BOOK there is a strange rule, that I personally had never seen. By rule, a team that makes a fair catch on a punt is allowed to attempt a “free” kick from the spot of the fair catch on the next play. The free kick must be either a place kick or a drop kick. If the kick goes between the uprights, they get three points! This is Pee Dee Academy in South Carolina executing this play last Thursday with 1 second on the clock for the win.

We are releasing AutoResearchExam, a benchmark on open-ended machine learning and engineering tasks. Our benchmark covers seven research areas including model training, data curation, AI safety and interpretability. In each task, we give agents 24 hours with a CPU or GPU machine to develop and improve their solutions through experiments and feedback. We measure both speed and quality with a combined score. Our benchmark has a unique feature: testing if agents create improvements that hold up on data they never see. We find that AI research agents often overfit as they try to improve. We see an interesting head-to-head comparison at the frontier: Astra starts the strongest and holds the lead for up to 19 hours but Fable 5.1 catches up and gets the top performing spot in the final hours. Qwen3.8 Max, Gemini 3.8 Flash and Grok 4.6 all sit on the cost-performance Pareto frontier, giving strong options at lower API budgets. Anthropic's Opus and Fable retain nearly all their validation performance on hidden tests, with gaps of 1.1% and 2.9%. Astra's improvement over Sol extends to generalization too, with that gap falling from 6.9% to 1.7%. (1/n)

My son’s coach pitch team won their playoff game Saturday. But he barely remembers the game. After the game, we had a potluck at the park. I brought out my Legends summer camp playlist, fired up the speaker, and before long... Every player and sibling was singing and dancing for well over an hour. It was pure joy. Parents laughed. Took photos and videos. Bonded. And on the walk back to the car, my son looked at me and said: “Dad, that party was so much fun.” He didn’t even mention the game. And that stuck with me. As youth coaches, we have limited impact on what happens between the lines. We can teach the game. We can prepare. But we can’t control the outcome. Where we can have the most impact… Is outside the lines. That’s where the magic lives. That’s where the memories are made. So yes—let’s compete. Let’s aim to win. But what if we tried to out-fun everyone instead of just outplay them? What if we made intentional space for kids to be kids? To dance. To sing. To laugh. To play. Because years from now... They won’t remember the batting order. But they will remember that dance off.

Hills I will die on as an elementary school teacher, who just wrapped up my 32nd year teaching! 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to teach, this profession is not for you. 2. Our students are not “ours”. They are their families, and we need to understand the magnitude of the calling, and responsibility we have to meet them where they are, and to help them to get to a place that they never thought possible. 3. As important as the curriculum is (and it IS important), the children in our classroom are what matter most. It’s our JOB to teach the curriculum to SERVE our students, NOT to use our students to push any sort of agenda. 4. Just as we teach our students to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our students better than they were when they first entered into our classroom. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every child. 5. We should not teach our children WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and how to use that knowledge to bless and serve not only themselves, but the world around them. 6. Our words carry little (or NO value), if we do not practice what we preach. 7. If we don’t make learning fun, children will view learning as a chore, and we we will be creating a generation of children who grow up to be young adults who don’t see the joy in learning new things. 8. The child that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Never tell a child they “can’t” do something. God has blessed each of them with far more strengths and talents than we may know, and it’s not our job to tell them what they can’t do, but to help them to realize all the things they CAN do. 10. The legacy you leave as a teacher will never be determined by your student’s test scores, but by the human beings you helped them become throughout their lives.

"don't speak about our faves again, di naman sold out con ng fave mo" yes and we didn't claim na sold out din naman in the first place because most of filo stays have work, some can't travel to bulacan, may exam, may mga nagka-emergency. things happened but at least all of us enjoyed the concert, even the kids enjoyed it. they feel so love and appreciated. we always make sure na kahit hindi sold out yung ph stop nila, they can still feel the genuine love of filo stays. we make sure we can sing with them with all of their songs not just some songs na sumikat sa tiktok or wherever, we make sure that we CHEER ALL MEMBERS may landian man sa harap namin or wala!! so if hindi kayo satisfied sa sarili niyong fandom don't ever ever speak ill about ours, don't ever think about mentioning our kids or even our fandom. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. you may sold out a whole arena but you will never understand, not even a gist of what it feels like to be stays jamming and hyping with strykids 💓
