German Shepherds are so perfectly odd. 😂🐾

If a German Shepherd is bored, it will train its owner ridiculous rituals to perform for entertainment. My parent's GS trained them to mix the right amount of wet and dry food and decorate it like a cake with chunks of beggin strips like candles.. cover it with a paper plate until just the right moment.. then hand feed him wet food from a paper plate until he got in the mood to eat... 🤣 When I watched him, we stayed busy. Went for walks, played and trained.. He ate when I filled up the bowl every time. They are very smart dogs and require physical and mental activities or they entertain themselves.. it's in their genes.

She had an amazing end. She came to me from a drug house in New York City. She was a breeder dog her name was Dollar (of course) and she never once responded to that. She was abused and I nursed her back to health. Then she spent lots of years poolside in southwest Florida, and then she finished the last of her years in a little cottage near the beach in Coastal Carolina. The best was she got to see snow one more time while she was healthy enough to enjoy it and my gosh did she enjoy it. Also, I’m pretty sure you know what’s going on here. I just sat down after playing with her all day and as soon as I did, she got up. She’d always get my attention going for Santa Claus, but this time I didn’t do anything and it was hysterical! #iykyk and you know!

I assume you do spoil her time to time with real meat because she seen you chop meat up and feed her. Imagine eating only kibble every meal.

My family used to have a German Sheperd that failed Police training so we ended up with it. Dog could do all kinds of cool shit (like chase someone down and tackle them) but wouldn't bite anyone.

My schnauzer poodle mix does the same thing. Sometimes she will bark at the bowl and i move it a half an inch and then she will eat.

Mine is just like this. If she thinks I'm eating it or I've added tlc to it she is ravenous. Otherwise, meh

My dog does a similar thing. One, this guy has me cooking his food. Which is fine, his coat looks amazing. Two, he must be fed 5/6 bites off a fork or he won’t eat. He’ll just stand there staring. I don’t mind it. When he’s gone I’ll miss it.

Damn! I wish my dogs were that easy.

Maybe if she stopped feeding the dog crap kibble instead of real food, the dog would eat the moment she smells the REAL FOOD is laid down for her.

Sorry. But these idiots that “have to” go through this whole process before their dog will eat are exactly that, idiots. It’s a dog. Just leave it. I guarantee if it gets hungry enough it will eat it without the performance.

I don’t blame him for not wanting hard brown rocks every day. I make really good toppers to put on top of my dogs kibble and mix in. (yes I know fully homemade food would be even better, but I can’t do that.)

Poor girl is just begging for fresh food.

My Doberman does the same thing, but I can’t fake it. He’ll look at his food afterwards then look back at me like wth! Then he’ll go on a food strike 🪧 until I add a pinch of something in his food. 🤦🏽‍♂️
