Clearer footage showing the aftermath of Russia's KAB glide-bomb strikes on the bridge in Slovyansk reveals that one side of the bridge remains standing, and is still passable for lighter vehicles. Civilians can be seen moving to and from the eastern suburbs using the bridge. Because Ukraine almost exclusively uses ordinary cars for logistics nowadays, they will still be able to use the bridge for the time being. Although, Russia may repeatedly strike the bridge in the future. Additionally, a large section of the road's anti-drone net was destroyed in the strikes, providing an entrance for Russian FPV drones. The heavy damage to the bridge will make it impossible to repair the netting.

Another bridge has been struck by Russian KAB glide-bombs in Kramatorsk this morning, this time connecting Kramatorsk to the village of Yasnohirka. The bridge only received damage to one of its lanes, and remains passable for all vehicles. It will likely be struck again in the near future. Yesterday, the main bridge in the centre of Kramatorsk was also hit. This is the second bridge in the city to be hit in the last 24 hours.

FFS … Germany… this is embarrassing. At least speed up the bridge process.

Construction of the 3.2-kilometre Magufuli Bridge on Lake Victoria was initiated by the former president in December 2019. President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who came into office in March 2021, is expected to officially inaugurate the mammoth project before the end of the year. The project was initially scheduled for completion in July 2023, but construction was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Originally known as the Kigongo-Busisi Bridge, the Chinese-built mega infrastructure was renamed Magufuli Bridge in honour of the former president. The project is being developed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Group (CCECG) and China Railway. The bridge was entirely financed by the government of Tanzania through its own revenues. The People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), said construction of the bridge was completed on October 6. "As the last tank of cement was poured on Sunday, the construction of the Magufuli Bridge was completed by two Chinese companies in Tanzania's northwestern Mwanza region," the People's Daily said in an online post. "The Magufuli Bridge is the only extra-dosed cable-stayed bridge in the Lake Victoria region and the longest of its kind in Africa." The bridge will also become among the Top 10 longest bridges in Africa. Four spans of the bridge fell on the Moscow-Minsk railway line (traffic is delayed). The gas pipe is also damaged. The reason for the collapse is wear and tear.
