Germany is so back. Munich drone startup Quantum Systems just raised $1.2 billion at an $8 billion valuation. 14 months ago the company was worth $1 billion. it tripled in November, then more than doubled again this week. the origin story is my favorite part: founder Florian Seibel is... show more

Geil, Kriegsgerät statt moderne Landwirtschaft Germany is so back! 💀

Germany in war mode, nice :) Haven´t leanred anything from the past

Never invest in war weapons Never help to destroy with your money

"Friedensangst"

Germany isn't back until it expels the tyrants running its government and stops the invasion replacing its people. Same as every western country.

So instead of family firms open 100s of years, funded by local banks, with local staff, world leading in obscure industrial niches You war economy based on killing each other, funded by private equity, looking to flip and sell out in 3 years. Is that what you mean by Germany is "back"?

germany is falling you retard. its not "so back" because they're militarizing. what a fucking idiot you are.

Deutschland wieder richtig Kriegsgeil!

Meanwhile Germany is fallen to a second grade economy. This country that defied all innovation for 25+ years is not “back” with some low-grade military tech that Ukraine can do better.

Modern defense is becoming a software problem as much as a hardware problem. The drone is important, but the autonomy and resilience are what create the advantage.

Yeah most Germans also thought 1933 we're so back. I'm a German myself and I won't celebrate any warfare technology. If that's the only thing we're capable of, than we completely deserve the show bleeding economy.

One of the key success factors is real testing, fast product feedback and massive overall market demand. Together with German engineering, it delivers.

Germany is not back. I'd like to refer you to this tweet in case you didn't realize:

Germany just leveled up the drone game hard

Germany’s economic future is based on war now? Quite a shift.

Everyone is posting the valuation The number I keep coming back to is 19,000 That is how many missions their systems flew in Ukraine last year Not demos, not range days, actual missions under actual jamming That is what got priced And notice where the money is going, not more production lines, it is going into MOSAIC, the software tying the whole fleet together The airframe stopped being the interesting part a while ago Mission logs are the balance sheet now

Germans os back. Pretty late.

Is this something to be celebrated - war technology? We're so much better than that!

Will Germany ever be a good place for small businesses?

How many systems are Ukrainians buying vs how many are being bought by German tax-payers for Ukraine?

8x in 14 months only happens when defense buyers stop treating drones like science projects.

Yes! Great tech and amazing to see! Hope this inspires even more 🙏🏼

Hey eu, is that a gdpr violation with that camera right there? 😂

Overengineered crap ... seems the Nazis never learn. Starting with Tigers, V2 and all that other crap.

NEW LONG FORM VIDEO: The rise and fall of OnlyFans The owner of OnlyFans made $700 million last year with just 46 employees and no debt. By almost any measure, it’s one of the most profitable businesses on the internet. About a year ago, the owner tried to sell the company and has been struggling ever since to get the price he wants. So why is one of the most profitable businesses in internet history so hard to sell? The answer goes back to how the business was built. It all started with a $10,000 loan from a father to his son to launch the company. Today, more than $7.2 billion in revenue flows through OnlyFans each year. If a business generating $700 million in annual cash flow were publicly traded, it would likely be valued in the tens of billions of dollars. But here we are, and OnlyFans is still stuck on the market. And look, this is a complicated story. OnlyFans is an adult content platform, which makes it one of the more challenging businesses to analyze and talk about openly. Still, there are some fascinating business lessons behind how it grew, why it became so profitable, and why selling it has proven so difficult.
