A bunch of years ago, I'm in the woods at the local park taling with one of the rangers with my golden. I'm petty my dog and I noticed she gad something sticky on her and boy did it stink. She had been rolling around in some deer poop when she was out of sight. She had a big grin on her face and thought she smelled great.

The one thing Goldens love more than food is a good roll in the mud. My childhood golden, did this every time we had decent rain. Sneaking out to the local park over the back of the garden and come back absolutely covered. She enjoyed the garden hose session cleanup as well.

Your big mistake was ignoring that advice and choosing an otter instead.

It’s no longer gold-yesterday instead of going to the beach we just went into the water near the trailer-water has been very low here at our lake as I understand is happening all over the country. Anyway we sunk into a foot of mud and I was covered from head to toe and the struggle to get out was horrifying-then of course my husband had to post a picture of me on Facebook this morning 😱

What's not to like about a free mud bath? We humans are the dummies who pay good money for the same therapy at the spa!
