All truth, most of were taught & then later taught as basics, but somewhere along the way the guys who weren’t taught this made it up to fill in the gaps? But the bigger concern to me is how could you be an MLB guy and buy into some of this stupidity being taught today?

How to set up the tee for a pitch down the middle, inside & outside. I see far too many athletes setting up incorrectly when doing tee work at my clinics and I see it from all ages. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have the tee in the correct spot. You can have the best swing in the world but if your contact point is off, it does you no good. For a pitch down the middle, you’ll want to make contact with the ball about even with your front foot in order to stay connected and hit for maximum power. Inside will be right outside of front foot and outside will be right inside of front foot. Letting the ball travel too deep will jam you and catching too far out front will force you to hit the ball off the end of the bat and roll over. So for those wanting to change swing mechanics so quickly for mishitting the ball, check your contact points first.

You will see much more flush contact and fewer clips from pushing the bat. You will hit the ball much harder WITHOUT swinging harder. Just using your levers more precisely. Effort level is still under control to keep the car within the guardrails.

The barrel enters earlier and stays in longer. You get both. 3. Depth behind what buys you length out front. Most guys are picking one or the other. 4. You sling the barrel through. You’re not shoving it or yanking it into the zone. 5. You actually use the ground. Behind the ball you turn. If you’re not using the ground, you’re probably sliding and pulling everything towards the ball. 6. Your bat speed becomes usable. Pushed and pulled bat speed still reads fast vs one pitch one speed. Only one of them shows up on the barrel, in the zone, on time vs pitching. — Cue for your next round: let the ball get deeper than usual, and turn behind a wall. You can scoot close to a net in front of you to get the feeling, too. Then vs moving ball. > Save this for when you need it > Send this to a hitter who needs it right now (And make sure you’re following)
