Getting fair pay for working on a holiday is about dignity. As we gather on Monday to honor those who served and sacrificed for our nation and spend time with family, I’ll also be thinking about the millions of people — including many in Delaware — working through the...

We should have applied national insurance to income on wealth. That would have brought in a lot of money and it wouldn't have put our small businesses under strain" "I represent a group called Patriotic Millionaires, we absolutely don't think wealth is a dirty word, suggesting that asking for fair taxation of wealth is saying wealth is something dirty is nonsensical" "Asking for fair taxation of wealth is not punishing anyone. Christmas is a season to gather with loved ones, to slow down, and to be grateful for the people and blessings in our lives. For Christians, it is also a sacred time to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope, grace, and love he brought into the world. From my family to yours, I wish you a peaceful, joy filled Christmas and a truly blessed holiday season.

Foxx: One of our colleagues just talked about the fact that wealthy people pay small percentages of their income on taxes. But what he didn't say is they pay over 50% of all the taxes paid in this country, and that working class people don't pay nearly as much as they do.

A Labour Party which claims to be on the side of working people is damaging some of the hardest working and poorest people in our country - and they happen to be the people who care for our countryside and feed us. Today I will stand shoulder to shoulder with Britain's farmers.

Labour was elected on a promise to Make Work Pay. With a pay boost for millions of working people on the minimum wage, we are delivering on that promise.

It's becoming nearly impossible for working people to keep a roof over their head. It’s time for Congress to respond with a plan that matches the scale of the problem. That’s why Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I introduced the Homes Act.

Give thought to those who cannot be with their families this Easter holiday, as they’re working to keep the public safe… because violent criminals continue to operate through Easter and bank holidays Is the background music a coincidence 🤔 Have a Happy Easter 🐣

The holidays are a time for reflection and commitment to the things that matter most — the people we love, the communities that lift us up, and the simple pleasures that bring us joy. As we get ready to join our loved ones in community, we wish you a joyful holiday season.

Juneteenth in Illinois is a state holiday. We honor the end of the national shame of chattel slavery and remind ourselves our work to dismantle systemic racism carries on. Illinois is ensuring equality and equity — and we recommit to working toward liberty and justice for all.

Our nation is at a critical moment. We must find strength in faith, love God, and love our neighbors. This week in the Senate we’re working to confirm President Trump’s nominees and pass a Continuing Resolution to keep the government open. That’s what’s moving on Monday.

Labour say many people on benefits are working. That’s true. But on average only 20 hours a week. Why should those working 40 or 60 hours a week, who aren’t well off and have kids of their own, pay more in tax to pay for those working less? Many will think, why do I bother?

I’m the proud daughter of a postal worker and a construction worker, whose family has called this district home for four generations. I know what it’s like to grow up in a family where working hard is necessary to pay the bills. And I also know that working hard is simply not enough to get ahead anymore. That’s why I’m running — to make life easier for families like mine, here in the Hudson Valley and across the country. It’s time that America works for working people once again.

My brother sam has often said that most people don't spend nearly enough time thinking about what they should be working on. This is the venture capital version: what companies should you go deep with? "We realized a long time ago that the most important decision is actually not the final decision that happens on a Monday. The most important decision is the mid-funnel decision that determines what gets to a Monday."
