Getting the Doomsday plane (E-4B NAOC) to file a flight plan using my suggestion of the callsign AIRWOLF 84 abbreviated into ARWLF84. I will always wonder if the ATC controller started humming the theme song in their head when they saw the flight strip.

Ok, it looks like there were possibly 2 different flight plans on file. Per ACARS data from Airframes and thebaldgeek The plan was IAH - Houston and they were planning on 26R. Something happened around the MATAMOROS VOR in Mexico because they were pointed towards Houston and then went direct the SAT VOR. ACARS data said they were supposed to expect a delay for traffic volume going into IAH and get a reroute. I believe the Swiss cheese holes just lined up on this one. Mass confusion ensued on both pilot and ATC ends. The approach controller did ask if they had the ATIS at Love Field.

The B-2s are on their way back to Whiteman AFB as PETRO41 flight. They checked in earlier this morning with SEVILLE CONTROL over the Straight of Gibraltar just like Op Midnight Hammer. I love how the Spanish controller say’s to them, “Adios” 😎🇺🇸💪

Attemped Skyjacking over Wisconsin last night aboard a United Airlines 737. ATC audio describes that a passenger tried to breach the cockpit several times. Luckily there were 5 Law Enforcement Officers onboard. The Captain of the flight said the skyjacker was seated in between two FBI Agents when the flight landed at Madison. DRAGON 70 (U-2) wkg ATLANTA CENTER on UHF explaining they are trying to set an endurance and altitude for category and class of aircraft. 😎 OTD 70 years ago, Anthony LeVier made the first flight of the Lockheed U-2 at Groom Lake on August 1st, 1955. It’s too bad their ADSB is turned on but now you know why they picked the callsign DRAGON 70 today. Big thanks to Bill B. for the ATC audio
