A state cannot be governed through fear or police excesses. Democracy cannot survive under autocratic rule or politically biased policing. Law enforcement must act impartially, beyond party colours and political interests. When BJP-backed miscreants attack Trinamool workers, or when bulldozers are used without prior legal notice, can that ever be called justice? We are not afraid of opposition politics or intimidation. If the Honourable CM says that 12,000 young men will be sent to jail, then we will stand beside those 12,000 youths and take the fight to the streets. Say it loud: The struggle to protect democracy will continue.
