and makes no commitment to Medicines Patent Pool! UNAIDS urges Gilead to work with Medicines Patent Pool, to include all middle as well as low income countries, & to name a price that has to be under $100 per person per year. Andrew Hill’s paper at AIDS2024 says $40 is possible.

@wiessner_peter Guardian’s @katlay asks Gilead if generic licensing will go to middle income countries too, Gilead replies list still being finalised. Lay asks if on current draft list there are any middle income countries. Gilead refuses to say, says list still not decided.

Such nonsense word salad from @GileadSciences. GLD uses taxpayer $ to develop this drug. Then charges the highest price to taxpayer funded drug programs in the U.S. Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Veterans Administration. Then hands out $ to executives and shareholders.
