I’m all for cracking down on poor tackle tech & following framework when it comes to punishing high tackles, but “no mitigation” is laughable here. He was lower at a good tackle height but got swung around. Decisions like this will lose players and fans

Erm, I'm struggling to see where contact was even made? How is that a send off. @SuperLeague this is awful, awful, awful. Worst decision I have seen in quite some time

What is that? Did they think he intended to launch himself into the head of the attacker? Dear lord that is horrendous

Super League players are talking about striking because of the RFL rule change they have imposed a different rule for the World club challenge it's an utter shambles

I don’t understand what action they’re trying to prevent here. You want a defender to lead with their head lowered and knock themselves out?

Absolutely mental. You’re spot on. There are things we can do to make the game safer but at some stage there has to be acceptance that *some* level of legal head contact is inevitable.

From a technique perspective I just don’t see what advice you give him to “fix” that up.

Bad call by all refs concerned. That's not an onfield call. Bunkers got involved in this call. Tackled low and drive. It's a contact sport.

What was the penalty for?

What the?

@SuperLeague Is this where you want your game heading?
