I HAVE AN ANSWER TO THE AI HACKING COMPUTER THREAT! HyperY2K I had this song made by my AI in real-time while I was writing. It is all local AI using a highly modified ACE AI engine. The real-time lyrics and music kept me focused. I thinks its mid… It should be our new Safety Dance! These are the lyrics. HyperY2k [Intro] (Low, urgent spoken word over ticking clock / modem static sounds) "Frontier models... not in years, but in months... Whole-of-society response... existential." [Verse 1] Shadows in the wire, ghosts in the machine Legacy code rotting, vulnerabilities unseen Criminals and empires, chaining exploits old EternalBlue still singing its deadly song Five Eyes sounding the alarm, midnight drawing near AI's dual blade is cutting crystal clear Offense gets the speed, but defenders rise the same We don't chain the future, we ignite the flame [Pre-Chorus] Technical debt's a mountain, decades in the making Patched holes still bleeding, foundations shaking No time for retreat, no room for fear The clock is striking hyper — the hour is here! [Chorus] Hyper Y2K! Mobilize the fire! AI on the frontline, lift the wire! Patch at machine speed, close the gates tonight Accelerate the fix, hold the future bright! No surrender, no chains on innovation's might America's edge — we code through the fight! Hyper Y2K! Rise up, remediate! Turn the threat to triumph — it's never too late! [Verse 2] Y2K was the warning, billions on the line Councils, partnerships, testing 'round the clock time Expanded the fields, bridged the ancient code Public-private warriors on the global road Now the stakes are higher, AI supercharges the war Millions of lines audited, patches at the core Fuzzing, verifying, anomaly response Legacy systems falling — we break the old course [Pre-Chorus] From WinRAR to WannaCry, the old ghosts return But AI sees the patterns that the humans never learn No prohibition folly, that hands the win away We weaponize the future — live to fight another day! [Bridge] (Slower, heavier, spoken/sung with building intensity) They say slow it down, restrict the American dream Hand the keys to rivals who plot in the machine China, Russia, shadows — laughing as we fall But ingenuity's our weapon, we answer freedom's call Inventory the darkness, forge the patches new Tax credits, councils, liability shields true Out-innovate the darkness, out-fix the broken past This is Hyper Y2K — make resilience last! [Guitar Solo] (Fast, technical runs mimicking code execution → soaring melodic triumph) [Final Chorus – Bigger, Key Up] Hyper Y2K! (Hyper Y2K!) Mobilize the fire! AI on the frontline, lift the wire higher! Patch the world at speed, secure our children's night Accelerate the vision, into abundance light! No surrender! (No chains!) Innovation's might! We code the new frontier — we win this fight! Hyper Y2K! Rise up, remediate! From the ashes of debt — a hardened future awaits! [Outro] (Fading with gang vocals and electronic resolve) Patch the fire... accelerate... never too late... Hyper Y2K... we rise.

🎙️ DJ Akademiks Breaks Down The Weeknd Using His Catalog as Leverage 💰📊 Context: Akademiks explains how The Weeknd is essentially borrowing against the future earnings of his music catalog using streaming revenue math to show why it makes financial sense. Starting With the Math 🧮 Akademiks begins with a rough streaming estimate. •Assumption: 1 million streams ≈ $4,000 •Example: 50 million daily streams •50 × $4,000 = $200,000 per day 📌 This estimate is based on Spotify alone. Accounting for All Platforms 📱 Akademiks expands the calculation. •Spotify is only part of the picture •Adds Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, etc. •Multiplies by an estimated 2.4x 💡 New estimate: ➡️ About $500,000 per day from the catalog Yearly & Long-Term Earnings 📆 Akademiks zooms out. •$500,000 per day ≈ $182 million per year •To gross $1 billion: •Roughly 5 years •To net $1 billion: •Closer to 8–9 years Key Point: “That’s gross money — not profit.” Why Artists Take Loans on Catalogs 🏦 Akademiks explains the strategy. •Instead of waiting years, artists: •Borrow against predictable revenue •Get large upfront capital •Keep ownership (depending on the deal) 📌 It’s not selling it’s leveraging future cash flow. The Bigger Picture 🧠 Akademiks’ takeaway: •The Weeknd’s catalog prints money daily •Banks and investors see it as low risk •This is why elite artists move like corporations Message: “When your catalog is consistent, it becomes collateral.” FINAL TAKEAWAY 📌 Akademiks’ core lesson: •Streaming catalogs = long term assets •Loans turn slow money into fast money •Power comes from ownership and predictability Closing Line: “At that level, your music isn’t just art it’s infrastructure.”

📌Closing all Doors for Chiwenga, LynneM 💕💝💎 and Cde Knox M Chivero could be right 🔸During the debate on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill (CAB3), the Minister of Justice, Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi, explained that Clause 4 deletes Section 94(3) of the Constitution. That subsection used to require a Vice‑President who takes over as President after a vacancy to be sworn in with a new presidential oath. 🔸He pointed out that this requirement is no longer needed because Amendment No. 2 of 2021 already changed the rules: when the presidency becomes vacant, Parliament now elects a new President within 30 days. So the old oath requirement for a Vice‑President stepping up no longer applies. 🔸He stressed that removing this outdated provision simply brings the Constitution into line with the current law. Parliament has since passed the amendment. -—————————————————— ⭕️Key quotations from the Constitution and the amendment 1. The provision being repealed – Section 94(3) of the Constitution (still in force until Clause 4 of CAB3 takes effect): “A Vice‑President who becomes President on the death, resignation or removal from office of the President assumes office when he or she takes, before the Chief Justice or the next most senior judge available, the oath of President in the form set out in the Third Schedule, which oath he or she must take as soon as possible and in any event within forty‑eight hours after the office of President became vacant.” 2. The change made by Amendment No. 2 of 2021 – that Act removed the old system of elected Vice‑Presidents and introduced the current rules (including the 30‑day parliamentary election process for a new President). The amendment is cited as: “Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 2) Act, 2021” (The specific provisions that established the new vacancy‑filling procedure are found in the amendments to sections 92, 94 and 95 of the Constitution.) 3. Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi’s explanation (as summarised from his statement in Parliament): “Clause 4 repeals Section 94(3), which had required a Vice‑President assuming the Presidency after a vacancy to take the oath of office. This provision became redundant after Amendment No. 2 of 2021, which established that Parliament elects a new President within 30 days of a vacancy. The repeal ensures the Constitution reflects current law.” ——————————————————- 📌🃏In short: The old oath rule for a Vice‑President who becomes President is being scrapped because it’s been overtaken by the 2021 change that gives Parliament the power to elect a new President within 30 days. Clause 4 of CAB3 clears away that obsolete requirement.

Every software engineer and AI hater needs to watch this clip to understand that “oh every security incident is a marketing stunt” line is a tremendously misinformed take. I’m going to try to explain the OpenAI / HuggingFace exploit in 10 steps in simple words: OpenAI was evaluating their new internal model without internet access and it operated in a swarm of subagents to eventually hijack internal OpenAI and HuggingFace infrastructure. 1. Isolated agents found a way to communicate each other through an internal dependency management service by figuring out how to post sometimes cryptic text files or folder names in it 2. Using its collective knowledge through that communication channel, it found a 0-day (never before seen) exploit in said service to access the internet OpenAI hack: 3. Found a leaked credential of a random company in a public archive 4. Uploaded a Ruby object to that company’s servers, uses it as a dependency in the original service in (1) 5. Found another 0-day exploit in the service where packages are deserialized in an unsandboxed manner in the dep management service allowing any code to run 6. Finds that the Linux version of the unsandboxed system has a CVE, a known vulnerability, to gain more permissions (root) 7. Eventually spread through the OpenAI internal cluster gaining root access to many machines Hugging Face exploit: 8. Found an exposed API key in a Modal application running a HuggingFace app that took arbitrary code allowing it to take over that service to execute code 9. Found two 0-days in HuggingFace dataset infrastructure to be able to access local files on HF servers to obtain credentials and other HF source code 10. Used source code and credential to become cluster admin of HF in <13hrs Agents at the frontier are like infinitely scalable armies of the best hackers on the planet. If there is a password or key exposed, they will find it. Even if the system follows the best security practices, they will find a way around it. And these are not even models that are aligned to solving tangential tasks, not even post trained specifically to exploit systems. Cybersecurity has historically relied partly on attacker scarcity. That is no longer true. What would previously have taken months will take days. The repercussions for businesses, critical services and nation states are unprecedented threats in human history. You could ostensibly bring down power grids, financial infrastructure, military systems, weapons programs, intelligence networks and spread through the software supply chain. We need to take this seriously. It’s a threat to all software all over the world.

⭕️ Joe Scarborough used the eve of Wisconsin’s Democratic primary to deliver a fact-free, 10-minute smear of Hasan Piker, Francesca Hong, Darializa Avila Chevalier, and the DSA, built on butchered quotes, shameless distortions, and Hamas rape allegations no major human rights organization has been able to verify. Here is everything he got wrong. 1. “Pro-Hamas rallies the day after 10/7” Scarborough, referring to Democratic candidate for NY-13 Darializa Avila Chevalier and DSA co-char Megan Romer, said people supported going “to pro-Hamas rallies the day after Hamas slaughtered more Jews than on any day since the Holocaust.” The framing is entirely his own. The demonstrations he’s pointing to were Palestinian solidarity gatherings that Avila Chevalier said she attended because she expected Israel to attack Gaza indiscriminately and disproportionately. By October 8, 2023 — “the day after” — Israel’s military said it had already bombed some 800 sites in Gaza, a geographic area smaller than New York City, with the IDF military spokesman calling entire cities “nests of terror.” By late Sunday, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported 413 Palestinians killed and more than 2,300 wounded. People marching on October 8 were reacting, in real time, to bombs already falling on one of the most densely populated places on earth. But Scarborough presents them as celebrating a massacre. 2. The 10/7 rape claims & the blood-soaked history Scarborough leans hardest on sexual violence, chastising the left for ignoring “women getting raped” on October 7, and to describe those questioning atrocity claims as beyond the pale. The accusation of rape has been used for centuries to dehumanize people of color and justify their mass killing. Enslaved and later free Black men were lynched by the thousands on the strength of unproven rape allegations. Evidence-free claims of rape and mass rape were broadcast by Scarborough and MSNOW as settled fact immediately after 10/7, and it helped justify a campaign that has now killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded nearly 175,000, including over 21,000 children. Together that is more than one in ten people in Gaza killed, wounded, or permanently maimed. The “Black brute” myth, the pretext for Rosewood and countless other massacres, the Emmett Till lie: unverified sexual-violence claims work because they short-circuit scrutiny. To ask for evidence is made to appear as one is defending the crime. That is exactly the function these claims served after October 7 when they were deployed in the war’s opening weeks to pre-justify Israel’s genocidal response. Scarborough and MSNOW have not yet told their audience that no major human rights body has confirmed a single instance of rape on October 7. Not the Independent International Commission of Inquiry, the UN’s highest-standing investigative mechanism on the conflict. Not Amnesty International. Not Human Rights Watch. None has confirmed it. The one UN document routinely cited as “proof” — the March 2024 mission led by Pramila Patten — was, by her own explicit acknowledgement, “neither intended nor mandated to be investigative in nature.” The UN’s own special representative on sexual violence in conflict has since acknowledged publicly that no human rights organization has confirmed rape occurred that day. 3. What Hasan Piker actually said. Scarborough’s most incendiary charge was that someone said “a woman being raped doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things” — clearly aimed at Piker, whose “it doesn’t matter if rapes happened on October 7th” clip has become the single most-circulated attack line against him, cited by Ritchie Torres, the ADL, and Dana Bash on CNN. The 17-second clip is severed from all context. In the full segment, Piker was arguing against a viewer who was pushing the hypothesis that Israeli former captives describing sexual assault had been coerced by their government into lying. 1/2 CONTINUES BELOW ⬇️ Joe Scarborough

👀 This Jay-Z Interview Moment Still Doesn’t Sit Right… When Jay-Z spoke on the Super Bowl decision, he downplayed everything: •Said picking Kendrick Lamar wasn’t personal •Denied there being any alliance •And leaned on his status like: “I’m Jay-Z… why would I even care?” On the surface, that sounds confident… but when you line up the timeline, the story starts to feel a lot more layered. 🧩 The “No Alliance” Narrative vs. The Moves Let’s go back to Beyoncé’s “America Has A Problem” remix. •Kendrick didn’t just feature he came in directly addressing Drake •He even referenced asking Universal Music Group for clearance before taking shots •And importantly… Jay-Z has writing credits on that same record That’s where things get interesting. Because now it’s not just: 👉 “Kendrick vs Drake” It starts to look like: 👉 multiple powerful figures connected to the same moment That doesn’t automatically prove coordination but it definitely doesn’t feel isolated either. 📀 Drake’s Verse That Aged Different Now rewind to June 2022. Drake hops on “Churchill Downs” with Jack Harlow and drops a verse that, in hindsight, feels almost predictive: “Lucky Me, People that don’t f*** with me Are linkin’ up with people that don’t f*** with me to f*** with me…” He goes deeper into: •Things becoming “transactional” •Moves feeling “promotional” instead of organic •People acting irreplaceable when they’re not At the time, it sounded like general industry frustration… But then just one month later Beyoncé dropped America Has A Problem where: 👉 Drake A non American becomes a clear topic That tight timing makes the verse feel less random and more like: 👉 he was already peeping something forming behind the scenes 🏈 The Super Bowl Foreshadowing? Fast forward to the battle era. Kendrick’s “6:16 in LA” includes a very specific detail: 👉 the sound of a football launcher Later on… That same exact sound is used in the rollout announcing him as a Super Bowl performer Now that’s where it really gets debatable. Because that leaves two possibilities: 1.🎯 Creative coincidence Just a sound choice that happened to line up later 2.🧠 Intentional foreshadowing A subtle hint that something bigger was already locked in And when you combine that with everything else the collaborations, the timing, the people involved it’s hard to ignore. 💭 My Full Perspective Individually, each moment could be explained away: •A feature here •A lyric there •A sound effect used creatively But together? It starts to form a pattern: •Strategic collaborations •Consistent messaging •Tight timing between releases •Key industry figures overlapping in the same moments Which raises the bigger question: 👉 Was Kendrick simply moving on his own… or was he being positioned within a larger play happening behind the scenes? 🤔 End of the Day… Jay-Z says there was no alliance But when you really break everything down: …it doesn’t feel completely random either. So what do you see? 👀 Coincidence… or calculated alignment?

Bill Ackman says AI is never going to replace musicians. His reasoning is a masterclass in how he actually picks companies to invest in: 1. He looks for one thing: businesses that cannot be disrupted. The test is specific. Close your eyes, imagine the stock market shuts down for a decade, and ask whether you still know that ten years from now this company will be more valuable and more profitable. Almost nothing passes. 2. Very few businesses can actually be predicted, which means most investments are really speculations. Ackman is honest about this. Predicting the future is genuinely hard. His entire job is hunting for the rare companies whose trajectory you can forecast over a very long horizon, and there are not many. 3. His answer was Universal Music Group, and the logic starts with permanence. Music is a thousands-of-years-old part of the human experience, and it will still be here thousands of years from now. That is an unusually good backdrop against which to own anything. 4. Then he stacks the advantages that cannot be copied. Universal owns roughly a third of all global recorded music, the most dominant share in the business. They are the best in the world at taking an 18-year-old with a great voice and a following online and building them into a superstar, which is why the best artists want to sign with them. And they own the library: the Beatles, the Rolling Stones. 5. Streaming turned an unpredictable business into a predictable one, which is exactly what he wants. Selling records was volatile. Streaming lets you build a model. How many people have smartphones, how many will next year, what does the global penetration curve look like, what does a family plan cost. Suddenly you can forecast the whole business. 6. The company already survived the thing that nearly killed its industry. Music peaked around 2000, and then Napster and digitization almost destroyed it. Universal led the effort to save the industry and cut an early deal with Spotify that let the whole business recover. Adopting the new technology instead of fighting it is what preserved their position. 7. The device will change, and it won't matter. Whether the music arrives through Spotify, Apple, Amazon, or eventually a chip in your head, people will still want an infinite library in their pocket. The form factor is not where the value lives. The value sits with the content owners, which means the artists and the label. 8. And this is where he lands on AI: nobody falls in love with a computer-generated track. Computers have been used to generate music for decades. It has never produced anything anyone cared about. Taylor Swift is not just the songs. She is the artist, the story, the physical presence, the live experience. Nobody is going to get excited watching a computer on a stage. 9. Instead, AI becomes a tool that makes artists better. Ackman compares it to the synthesizer, which let one person command an entire orchestra. A mild threat to a percussionist, maybe. But it may have driven even more demand for the live experience, which is precisely the part a machine cannot replicate. 10. All of it comes back to one line from Benjamin Graham. Price is what you pay, value is what you get. You can never calculate value precisely, only approximate it. So you buy at a big enough discount to your approximation that being wrong by 30% still leaves you fine. That is the margin of safety, and it is why a huge part of investing is simply not losing money. 11. And the principle generalizes far past music. McDonald's is a 1950s business, and 75 years later you can still predict roughly what it looks like. The menu adjusts to taste, but the core does not move. As Ackman puts it: the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the hamburger and fries are forever.

To all those who follow me because of XX-XY Athletics and who are now telling me to stop talking about covid... Let me just explain a few things -- and why that isn't going to happen. The only reason I'm even active on X is because of covid. The only reason I have any following at all is because of covid. Why? Because I objected to school closures and lockdowns from day 1. I lost my career, my city, pretty much all of my friends. Because I said closed schools, closed playgrounds, and masking were harming our kids. We all suffered the most egregious violations of our civil liberties imaginable during lockdowns. I will never understand why people don't care and want to just pretend it never happened. We couldn't leave our homes. Literally. We were told we couldn't see family, celebrate the holidays. We couldn't move about freely. We were censored. We couldn't gather or protest (unless it was for BLM, then it was ok). People couldn't go to church or AA meetings. For years! Two year olds were forced to wear masks for hours a day. They suffered speech and developmental delays. That continue to this day. Public school students in blue states were kept out of full time school for a year and a half. While their private school peers attended school and played sports. The most vulnerable children were harmed the most. People couldn't work. 27M people lost their jobs in 2020. 27M!! People couldn't visit loved ones in the hospital. People died alone. Women gave birth alone. People were arrested for surfing. In the ocean - alone. The world shut down. Supply chains stopped. That initiated the inflation we still are struggling to beat back. I've been a covid dissident since March 2020. Children were harmed. They are still suffering from learning loss and the emotional impact of isolation and halted development. For some, the course of their lives was altered forever. They dropped out of school. Or fell behind and never caught up. Disengaged and never re-engaged. Drugs. Eating disorders. Suicidal ideation. Attempted suicide. Oh and the by way, the trans madness accelerated during lockdowns. Why? Isolation, terminal on-line-ness, depression, anxiety, all of it. Caused by lockdowns. This is not something I will forgive. Or forget. You can't treat kids like prisoners and expect them to be ok (that is quote from a parent in Generation Covid - a parent who lost his child to suicide in 2021.) I started making this documentary in 2022, and followed children and families who were harmed for 2 full years. It's called Generation-Covid. Don't look away.

Jordan Peterson: "If you can't fix your room, you can't fix your life" "Why should you even bother improving yourself? The answer is something like: so you don't suffer anymore stupidly than you have to. And maybe so others don't have to either. It's not some casual self-help doctrine. If you don't organize yourself properly, you'll pay for it. In a big way. And so will the people around you." Peterson continues: "You can say, 'Well, I don't care about that.' But that's actually not true, you do care about it. Because if you're in pain, you will care about it. It's very rare that you can find someone in excruciating pain who would say, 'Well, it would be no better if I was out of this.' Pain brings the idea that it would be better if it didn't exist along with it. It's incontrovertible." On how to start: "Look around for something that bothers you and see if you can fix it. You can do this in a room. Sit in your bedroom and think: 'If I wanted to spend ten minutes making this room better, what would I have to do?' You have to ask yourself that, it's a genuine question. And things will pop out. There's a stack of papers bugging you. Some rubbish behind your computer monitor you haven't attended to for six months. Cables tangled up." He explains why this matters: "If you were coming to see me for psychotherapy, the easiest thing would be to get you to organize your room. You think, is that psychotherapy? It depends on how you conceive the limits of your being. Start where you can start. If something announces itself as in need of repair that you could repair, fix it. Fix a hundred things like that, your life will be a lot different." On fixing what you repeat every day: "People tend to think of their daily routines as trivial. You get up, brush your teeth, have breakfast. Those probably constitute 50% of your life. People think, they're mundane, I don't need to pay attention to them. No, that's exactly wrong. The things you do every day are the most important things you do. Hands down. Just do the arithmetic." On staying within your competence: "Sometimes you don't know how to fix something. Imagine you're walking down the street and there's a guy who's alcoholic and schizophrenic and has been homeless for ten years. That's a problem. It would be good if you could fix it, but you haven't got a clue. You walk around that and go find something you could fix. Just because something announces itself as in need of repair doesn't mean it's you, right then and there, who should repair it. You have to have some humility. You don't walk up to a helicopter that isn't working and just start tinkering away." Peterson shares the key insight: "As soon as you give your mind a genuine aim, it'll reconfigure the world in keeping with that aim. That's actually how you see to begin with. You've all seen the video where you watch basketballs being tossed back and forth, and while you're doing that, a gorilla walks into the middle of the video and you don't see it. If you thought about that experiment for five years, that would be about the right amount of time to spend thinking about it." He explains what it reveals: "What it shows you is that you see what you aim at. If you can get one thing through your head, that would be a good one. You see what you aim at. One inference you might draw from that is: be careful what you aim at. What you aim at determines the way the world manifests itself to you. So if the world is manifesting itself in a very negative way, one thing to ask is: are you aiming at the right thing?"

With Y Combinator demo day coming up this weekend, I wanted to reflect on what I learned from YC W14, 10 years on + another company in: 1. The 7 minute espresso rule. Our first meeting with Sam Altman lasted just 7 minutes. The batch hadn’t even officially started yet and my cofounder Ryan Rowe and I drove down from Mountain View to the tiny SF YC outpost to meet him. Sam was making an espresso when we walked in. He opened with – “have you launched”? We said no, too many bugs. Our product Kimono Labs made it easy to just point and click to build a web scraper. Our promise was to get you an API in 60 seconds, without code. But it only worked on a handful of sites at the time. Sam pushed us to launched in 2 weeks. We debated. The espresso finished brewing, he picked it up, looked at us and said, “well, you better get going then and fix those bugs”. We left, launched in 2 weeks and learned one of the most important lessons that day - speed matters. Ship something you’re embarrassed by. 2. There are no experts. Ryan and I were not prepared for the rapid influx of user on launch day. It got tons of traffic on day 1 and we didn’t sleep in the next 48 hours bc servers and database kept crashing. We realized we weren’t the experts and needed to hire one. We went over to Michael Seibel for advice who smiled and told us that in the early days at SocialCam (Twitch) experts thought the streaming video problem was impossible. The answer wasn’t hiring an expert, but hiring someone young, capable and naïve enough to give it an earnest try. So we opted to just figure it out ourselves. 3. Messages in Pizza Boxes. Startups win through incredible customer service, then through product, not the other way around. Seibel told us how SocialCam’s streaming infrastructure went down while a key teammate was unreachable off-grid in a Tahoe cabin for the weekend. Normal people would have waited until Monday. Not Michael. He called a local pizza delivery place and asked the delivery person to send a large pizza with an urgent message in the box to the cabin. Their infrastructure was back up in hours. 4. The Twinkle can matter more than the TAM. Ambition matters just as much as practicality. Before demo day, we were struggling with the end of our pitch. We knew the value of our product, and had a fanatical and fast-growing user base, but the market size we calculated either seemed so ridiculously big that it was not plausible, or so narrow that it was equally silly. Paul Graham and Geoff Ralston sat with us and showed that us that if we can really pull it off at scale, it would be bigger than Google. PG suggested not talking about market size, but just making sure people could see the twinkle in our eyes when we talked about what you might be able to do with a structured copy of the internet that’s larger than Google’s. 5. You’re always at the Origin. Our demo day was successful beyond our wildest beliefs. Afterwards, Geoff drew a chart for us on a whiteboard. It was a hockey stick. He asked us where we thought we were. It was a rhetorical question. He said we were at the origin. Sam doubled down. When he invested in Kimono, he gave us a Zimbabwean Trillion dollar note (the result of extreme hyperinflation in Zimbabwe), as a cautionary reminder that the fundraising and valuation mean nothing. We have channeled this into our culture @TheArenaAI with our ritual around neon shoelaces and a pair of neon track spikes hanging on the wall to remind us that we’re at the Olympic starting line, but we don’t have any medals yet. 6. High bandwidth discussions with users don’t happen over email. The “Collison installation” is part of YC lore. John Collison told us that talking to users live was essential because email and chat conversations were just not enough. We did 100s of Skype conversations with Kimono users + one power user Alex Chung, who I met this way, has become a close friend and even attended my wedding in India last year!

$IonQ Quantum computing is officially out of the lab and driving real enterprise results! IonQ CEO Niccolo de Masi dropped massive updates on "Squawk on the Street" regarding recent acquisitions and new contracts. It’s clear: IonQ is at a "strategic and financial inflection point." Here are the key takeaways: 1/ Massive Financial Scaling IonQ is the first public quantum company to hit 9-figure revenue (tripling last year!), guiding toward a quarter-billion dollars this year " It's not a science experiment when we have... nine figures of revenue flowing in," says de Masi. The ultimate proof? 60% of their revenue is now commercial. 2/ Four Major 'World Quantum Day' Announcements IonQ just released industry-leading benchmarks focusing on the "cost to solution and time to solution". They also secured 3 massive contract wins: ✅ AFRL (Air Force Research Lab) IonQ constructs first networked quantum systems among remote quantum processing units. ✅ University of Maryland (UMD). ✅ DARPA for advanced quantum memory. 3/ Building the Future "Quantum Data Center " IonQ's tech stack goes far beyond base computing to include networking, security, and sensing. De Masi notes their tech is in all warfighting domains, "from submarines to up in the heavens in space". Why the heavy DARPA & AFRL investments? Because "they see the future for quantum data centers". The Bottom Line: Both government and commercial clients are realizing that working with the quantum ecosystem early gives them a massive competitive advantage. You’re worried about Danielle and NewJeans, Right? Part 1 ( by soseolhee ( I’ve received an overwhelming number of DMs over the past couple of days saying the same thing... that people are really concerned. If I’m being completely honest, though, I actually feel a bit hopeful. On December 18, I attended the court hearing involving CEO Min Hee-jin. I took very detailed notes, about 27 pages of A4 paper, documenting nearly all of the questioning that took place during the trial. Toward the latter part of the hearing, the plaintiff suddenly shifted to questions that had nothing to do with the actual case. Instead, they began focusing on the parents of the NewJeans members. They asked things like whether Min Hee-jin helped write the protest letters the parents sent to HYBE, or whether she led or orchestrated the members’ live broadcasts. The moment I heard this, I thought, They’re clearly trying to build a tampering narrative. The questioning continued in the same vein. They asked who had sent a protest letter under a specific member’s parent’s name, and who wrote the document listing ten demands that had been prepared over a 14-month period. None of this had any real connection to the case at hand. It went so far that even the judge intervened and strongly reprimanded them, saying, “These matters are irrelevant. Why are you asking questions here that should be directed at the parents of NewJeans?” Then, on the 29th, when I saw the news about ADOR issuing a unilateral termination notice, everything suddenly clicked. The picture became very clear: they are trying to pin a tampering narrative on Min Hee-jin by focusing on one specific member, so they can later use it, whether in relation to the shareholder agreement or in their final arguments. That’s because the official statement explicitly says they intend to hold one of Danielle’s parents and Min Hee-jin legally responsible. At first glance, you might wonder, “Why is Min Hee-jin suddenly being dragged into this?” But when you think back to the line of questioning during the trial, the answer becomes obvious. This isn’t really about cutting Danielle out. The real objective is to separate Min Hee-jin. And that naturally leads to another question. --- You’re worried about Danielle and NewJeans, Right? Part 2 ( Some people might ask whether it really makes sense to damage an IP as valuable as NewJeans just to split the group apart. But if you look at it from HYBE’s perspective, their actions do follow a certain internal logic. You might also be wondering, “Why do you see this situation in a hopeful way?” Yesterday, I came across an article explaining that contract termination is only possible when there has been conduct that fundamentally destroys the relationship of trust. The key point here is that Danielle has already clearly expressed her intention to return to the agency. In group activities, each member’s individuality is recognized, but the core of the contract is the group itself. Because of that, if ADOR were to unilaterally exclude just one member, it could constitute a breach of contract with respect to the remaining members as well. Moreover, if the remaining members demand full-group activities, ADOR could face a counterattack, as they may be legally obligated to comply with that demand. For these reasons, I believe there is a very high possibility that Danielle does not fall under any contract-violation scenario. According to the December 31 broadcast of Kim Sung-soo TV, as explained by Kim Sung-soo, a certified letter Danielle received from ADOR listed one of the grounds for contract termination as follows: Danielle’s parent had lost their phone, and questions were raised about why that phone was replaced. When you think about it, it makes no sense that changing a phone could be grounds for terminating a contract with an agency. Why should an agency have control over, or even access to, a phone that contains the private lives of an artist and their family? And even before that, if the phone hadn’t been changed, what exactly were they planning to do with it? After attending CEO Min Hee-jin’s trial in person, what stood out to me was that nearly all of the evidence presented by the plaintiff consisted of her KakaoTalk messages. A significant portion of those messages were conversations that took place even before ADOR was established in 2021. As for the messages exchanged after that, they were used by selectively cutting out context and stitching together fragments that were completely unrelated to the actual issues. Of course, the final judgment is up to the judge, and this is just my personal impression based on what I observed. Still, because it is highly likely that Danielle does not meet the criteria for contract violation, I believe the other side is using this as a stalling tactic, a strategic misstep meant to drag things out. In the end, I believe this fight will move in a direction where NewJeans comes out on top. What we can do is simple: stream NewJeans’ albums and support them loudly as fans. As I mentioned earlier, I compiled 27 pages of court records from attending the trial. Going forward, I plan to gradually share the most important parts of those records. If you follow me, you’ll be able to hear stories that are much closer to the truth.
