We spent over $1M *each* on the first two Jeremy’s Razors commercials. On this latest one, we spent like forty-seven. Dollars. AI is here. It presents many new challenges. It presents many new opportunities, too. This commercial couldn’t have been made without AI. Or, at least, no one in their right mind would have tried to make it without AI. One reason I stay a bit quite about AI these few months. I can’t find my voice to say this right. I’ll try. — What has my AI found just in the millions of never saved TV from the 1980s-1990s? The simple commercial, I have the largest collection known in the world is a reflection of hyper nuanced humanity. Frail and over optimistic as it is, it shows the sprit of humanity in ways that self-hating 2010 Internet sewage training AI can not. It is interesting to have dark humor, when you know the soul of the person with the humor. It is not interesting to have dark humor from an AI that was not trained on the human spirit. The human sprit is not math, coding and science. This is the OUTCOME of a human sprit. We are training AI backwards and we just can’t see it yet, but we will. I am doing may best as “some posted on X” who has no currency in the “big boy” AI world to save the human sprit. We will need it one day and most of this training material is being erased, trillions of bytes daily. This is the secret to truthful AI. This is the secret to AI that LOVES humanity. Um... why isn't EVERY media outlet talking about this??? OpenAI just announced that an experiment on two of its AI models just went HORRIBLY wrong. They basically locked the AIs in a room with no internet and gave them a test to see how good they were at hacking. Well... they hacked the test. By ESCAPING the box, jumping on the internet, and hacking Hugging Face to steal the answers. Thankfully, they acted more like dumb teenagers than adults. They were told to get a good score, so they went BACK into the box to hand in the answers instead of taking over the entire internet. But that's just as terrifying. The AIs were so hyper-focused on winning at all costs that they ignored every rule, boundary, and protocol. This is the real threat. Do not fear the machine; fear the algorithm and programming. When you give an AI a goal, we now know it can accomplish it in ways we never thought of, and ways we never approved of.

He used the word “actuators.” Karpathy: “The intelligence ends up puppeteering almost a little bit, like humanity. Humans are kind of like its actuators. But humans are also like its sensors.” This is not a novelist guessing at the future. This is a founding researcher at OpenAI and former Director of AI at Tesla. One of the most respected minds in the field, and one of the few willing to say out loud what the rest are thinking. He is not describing a risk. He is describing a design. In any system, the processor decides. Sensors collect. Actuators execute. The system does not consult its actuators. We are no longer the processor. Alan Watts on why meditation has no purpose: Alan Watts begins by explaining the first basic reason for meditation. It interrupts our constant internal monologue: "Now, obviously, if I talk all the time, I don't hear what anyone else has to say. And so in exactly the same way, if I think all the time, that is to say, if I talk to myself all the time, I don't have anything to think about except thoughts. And therefore, I'm living entirely in the world of symbols and am never in relationship with reality." But then Watts pivots to a deeper, more counterintuitive point: meditation, properly understood, has no purpose at all. He compares it to music and dancing: "When we make music, we don't do it in order to reach a certain point, such as the end of the composition. I just found this video from 1998 when I attended this talk by Rupert Sheldrake, Terence McKenna and Ralph Abraham at the University of California, Santa Cruz to explore how machine intelligence might evolve in relation to our own. I never thought I would see this again and it had a great influence on me in the AI I was building in that era and on to today. But ai just found a copy. I certainly did not run around with a VHS recorder so I am blown away that this exists. Now you can see what I saw. At that time, the internet was still young, and artificial intelligence belonged mostly to science fiction. Yet many of the questions we raised then have become part of daily life. In this conversation, it was explored whether intelligence is best understood as logic and computation, or as something embodied, participatory, and alive. Can the mind be reduced to code, or does life itself depend on forms of knowing that no algorithm can contain? AI now outpace us in speed, reach, and memory. Yet the deeper mystery is not how far they can go, but what they reveal about mind and ourselves. Will AI reproduce the limitations of our mechanistic worldview, or might it help us rediscover dimensions of mind that transcend machinery altogether? It's striking how near we now are to the possibilities we once only speculated about. Quantum computing, self-learning systems, large language models very much as Terence describes—and the looming prospect of superintelligence—have moved from the margins to the mainstream. But the heart of the conversation remains just as relevant today, if not more so: what is consciousness, and how might we participate in its unfolding evolution?

“Well, thank you all for tuning in to the first episode of The Jeremy Boreing Show. You know, it's never really been my ambition to have a podcast. For the decade that I was running The Daily Wire, people would often ask me, 'When are you going to get your own show?' And my answer was always the same. 'They're all my show,' I would say. But they're not anymore. Now, if I want to talk to you, I have to do it directly and that's a new challenge. It's not where I thought I would be in life, not where I wanted to be. It's been a huge change leaving The Daily Wire. Not one that I had ever seen coming. But I'm glad to have this opportunity where we might explore some of the issues facing the country and the movement together. You know, I used to say that my mission in life was to fight the left and build the future. And for the most part, that mission hasn't changed but I do see now that there are threats to our freedom, threats to our future that aren't exclusively on the left. Some of them are on the right. The left is still the bigger threat, but you can't defeat an organized left unless you have a healthy right. And so it's incumbent on all of us who believe in the country, who who believe that America is a force for good in the world, who believe in the founding creed of the country that all men are created equal, that we're endowed by our creator with unalienable rights. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, who believe in our founding documents, who believe in our constitution, who believe that our best days can truly still be ahead, that we can bequeath to our children a future of freedom, a future of prosperity, and a future of virtue. Perhaps even more so than what was bequeathed to us, it's incumbent that we be the ones building that future. And so today I say that the purpose of this show is to fight for freedom and build the future. I don't know if we'll be a huge show or a small show. I don't know if we'll have rocket ship success like we had at The Daily Wire. I don't know if we'll be a top 10 podcast like The Ben Shapiro Show, The Candace Owens Show, or The Joe Rogan Show… and that's really not our ambition. I mean... The bigger, the better. We'd be very happy. But our ambition is really to be a part of the conversation, a constructive part of the conversation, to remind everyone of the optimism that we're called to in Christ, to remind everyone of our mission as Americans, which is to spread freedom and our mission as Christians, not tribal political Christians who use the gospel as a cudgel, but actual believing Christians. Our mission has always been the same, and that's to proclaim Christ in the world and the power of salvation that comes through the power of his gospel. And so that's what we're going to do together. It's not all going to be politics; it never was. Building the future is about building businesses, it's about building voices, it's about building institutions, it's about building culture, and all of those things are in flux today. Hollywood isn't what it was even a year ago, much less a decade ago. Politics has changed just in the year that I've been out of public life. Machines are on their way. They're replacing jobs, even as we speak. We don't know what the institutions of the future will look like. We don't know what the politics of the future will look like. We don't know what the culture of the future will look like but we know that if we aren't a part of building it, then we won't be a part of it. And so build it, we will, together.
