This is the perfect Mother’s Day song. My wife wrote a song called "Mama Bird" a few years ago that perfectly captures the love of a Mom for their kids. I pushed her to record it but life always got too busy. I finally took initiative and got her studio time this week so she’d record it. This is "Mama Bird" from our Mama Bird at the Starbuck house, Landon Starbuck. I hope y’all love it as much as we do. This song and video captures everything that life’s about for us. For the Mom’s watching, I’m curious to hear how connected you felt to the song’s lyrics. Send this to your Momma’s and let them know you love them. In a world with tons of meaningless or outright evil music, we need more music like this and to support artists with good values who make meaningful music. Oh and yes, the song’s available on Spotify and should be on the other services sometime between today and the end of the week, depending on when they get it up.

A pretty typical day for me consists of: —Mass —Rosary —Exercise —Reading/research —Writing —Laying the groundwork for future Eternal Christendom projects —Piano practice (old and new repertoire) We pray for our patrons everyday. We are digging into the pieces of the Great Tradition everyday to share treasure with you all. And I keep music a regular part of my life not only for the joy of it, but because it helps me maintain and grow my creative discipline in one of the great arts. I’ve recently been working on some of Chopin’s Etudes, including the “Ocean” Etude the clip below comes from (for its imitation of rolling waves). I believe music—whether as a musician, or as an attuned listener—plays a vital part in the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional formation of any one striving for virtue. I’ve learned so many disciplines from music, and have many more yet to learn and improve at. If you learn to know and love great music, it will help you grow in many ways. The rise and fall of a culture and society can in many ways be traced by analyzing its music.

Legends like E.K. Nyame, Koo Nimo and Pat Thomas have all given the song their own flavor. I blended it with Ferrari by ✊🏾 yemialade and it fits like a glove. Enjoy 💜🦅

Gems of Lata Mangeshkar Mrigtrishna (1975) had the word FLOP writ large on it. The movie was as boring as it could be. It had actors like Rakesh Pandey, Yogeeta Bali, etc. And then the story of the movie itself was dull. The fact that the movie makers of this movie lacked finances meant that they did not hire a big name music director. They hired a music director called Shambhu Sen, and he also doubled as the lyricist of the movie. But the music of this movie was unexpectedly nice, but then the failure of the movie came in the way of its songs. The music of “Mrigtrishna” richly deserves to be re discovered and heard and savoured. Song courtsey Upjeet 🇮🇳
