7th generation Texan... and beans in chili are an abomination. Beans were only meant to be filler, to absorb the flavor of meat and to add bulk to the meal cheaply on the trail when meat was scarce. You know what tastes more like meat than beans in chili? MORE MEAT. NO BEANS.
