DeepSeek V4.1 Flash vs Kimi K3 This is not one-shot from DeepSeek btw. The first result was boxy and not realistic, so I iterated with a $6 cap. Kimi did this in one shot, costing $6.95. Not as good as Kimi K3, but it did better than the other Flash models I’ve tried.

One of the first Kimi K3 outputs for y'all, tried it on frontend 👀 First impressions is that it's VERY slow, even slower than Fable. This took 35 minutes to finish. However, this is one of the best outputs I've ever seen from this prompt, better than many frontier models.

Just tested Kimi.ai K3 against GPT-5.6 and Grok 4.5 on the same task: build a Subway Surfers game. Kimi K3 was my favorite. Better UI, smoother gameplay, and the overall experience felt more polished. GPT-5.6 was solid too, while Grok 4.5 fell behind on the UI. The interesting part is that all three needed at least one follow-up prompt. Kimi also took a bit longer to generate, but the extra time paid off. Ran Kimi K3 through Nebius Token Factory. Low inference cost + a really capable open source model is a great combo.

In the hybrid approach: -GLM 5.3 Flash handles strategic judgment of which planets matter, who expands, who fights, when to re-plan. -Jev handles the ship-by-ship execution. GLM 5.3 Flash alone defeats Jev alone 82% of the time. This is obviously just a single example and some of the first things I've tried to make use of Jev as an augmentation to an LLM. Could potentially make even more gains in cost, speed, and performance, but using what I've figured out here, I am compelled to try some ideas with robotics next.
