The Niceaunties AI Video Grant At Fellowship, we believe in creating an environment for experimentation and the development of ideas. That is why, when niceaunties proposed a grant program for mentorship and the creation of AI videos, we immediately said yes. The program will help support six artists, to create a Solo Show for the Fellowship Daily program. The commitment is to produce 8 new videos based on a theme proposed by Niceaunties. This will be an open call for all the Daily Artists and the AI video community at large. Everyone is welcome to reply/submit a video for consideration. Each grantee will receive a total of 2ETH provided by Niceaunties and Fellowship, as well as mentorship from Niceaunties and alejandro cartagena. We encourage artists applying to consider this grant as a space of critical feedback and of experimentation. Artists are encouraged to be open to new ideas and to explore alternative ways of how to think of their practice. These funds and curatorial support are there to open up time for the creators to engage and create a space ideal for critical feedback. We believe that developing an artistic voice comes from experimentation and confrontation of ideas. All 8 pieces produced during the month will be auctioned on the daily . xyz site as a one-day Solo Show. All proceeds of the sales will go to the artists. Artists will soon have access to 94 affordable homes at 1687 Market Street in San Francisco. Today we broke ground on Artists Hub on Market. In addition to homes for low-income artists, arts workers, arts administrators, entertainment workers, and their families, there will be rehearsal rooms, a black box theatre, and services supporting the arts. Our city is stronger and more vibrant when artists can live in the city where they work. With this groundbreaking, we’re sending a clear message to our arts community: you have a future in San Francisco. Residents will be certified through a new Artist Housing Certification Program run by the Arts Commission, ensuring these homes go to active creative workers. This project is designed to be replicated, so we can build more homes like this across the city, and it is funded thanks to a generous $100 million gift from an anonymous donor and tax-exempt bonds shepherded by the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development. Thank you to Artists Hub on Market and Mercy Housing California for making this project possible and supporting our city’s incredible artists.

Look at the hysterical anti-AI comments in this thread from people who have never animated a day in their life. They claim AI "undercuts artists" and "steals from real animators." As a real animator who has been animating for 20 years, AI is simply the equivalent of getting a budget and a studio. Especially as one who has been blacklisted from the industry, AI is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. "Independent animators are the only artists who are expected to do the jobs of hundreds of people." Did Disney, Bakshi, or Judge stop being artists/animators because they got a studio, and didn't animate every single frame of their films by themselves? The answer from these commenters would be "ofcourse not." So why is it any different when a head animator uses AI to do all the laborious bitchwork instead of poorly paid Koreans? If a director ceases to be an artist because they use AI, then that means a director ceases to be an artist because they use a studio, and only the studio of poorly paid Koreans doing tedious repetitive bitchwork would be considered the Real Artists. Obviously, this is absurd logic. I still have seen no one refute this, and I would like to see some of the people in this thread try.

Hey Nikita, Our followers rely on us to verify and consolidate news from Persian, Hebrew, Arabic, and English sources, along with our analysis, so they don’t have to monitor thousands of accounts themselves. We understand the recent program changes. At the same time, we don’t want to completely change the way we report. We polled our followers, and they told us they want us to continue reporting the way we always have. They said that’s the reason they follow us. We also understand that attribution is important. Whenever we can attribute information, we do. We’ve also recently hired a 10 person animation team to produce original long form 3D videos for X. Does the program evaluate our account as a whole, or will these original videos be rewarded on their own even if our news reporting is treated differently?
