He violated the court order and publicly, repeatedly belittled and defamed E.Jean Caroll non stop. She filed a complaint and sued. Because Trump violated the court order, the judge found for $83.3m due to the violation, death threats and other mental anguish she suffered as a result of Trump continually bringing her up publicly and defaming her. The $83.3m was awarded at this point. Looks like it was an appropriate award because he finally STFU. I personally believe the judge was trying to teach him he’s not above law.
