Is this policy applicable for those also , who are on visitor record and living in Canada and applied for closed work permit ( application processing outside Canada) and waiting for approval of work permit.

I hold a closed work permit, and my wife has an open work permit valid until 2026. If I change employers, will she be able to keep her current permit, or could she lose it or be required to leave Canada? I would like to mention that my job is classified as TEER 2 noc. Thank you

If IRCC remove the 5 years cap for closed work permits then it will be a great great news
