Good question. The post-effect part of the rain is split into three layers with different panning speeds. It’s not perfect in slow motion, but at full speed it looks good enough to me

Eagle Slow-Mo in the Rain Looks Like The Matrix A little bit of rain, some light misty fog and a couple hundred of my closest winged friends scouting out the all you can eat Hake buffet. The perfect combination for me and my camera. I’ve said this many times but there is something magical about filming and photographing wildlife in the rain. Sure, it’s cold and I end up looking like wet laundry, but it’s worth every soggy second. At one point in this video, the eagle and the rain drops fall from the sky at the same exact speed. I forgot Sony added “Matrix” mode to the new flagship camera. Who needs an umbrella? Not this bird. And apparently not me, either, but I’m starting to think cameras and lenses should come with mini umbrellas that can be deployed at the touch of a button.

Godot IK footstep stuff... It's still not perfect but it's good enough for my needs. blue is the raw animation, yellow is the velocity retarget, red is the print position. objective is to make the steps super stable/planted, to never slide around regardless of motion or rotation
