Gemini for Android is here! This new app makes it easier to access Google's chatbot, powered by the Gemini Pro LLM, right from your Android device. You can ask Gemini a question by tapping the launcher icon or long-pressing the power button. Once invoked, the Gemini overlay lets you enter a text or text+image prompt. You can tap the camera icon to snap a photo or press the "add this screen" button to take a screenshot of the current page to include in your prompt. The Gemini app for Android is available on Google Play with support for English, but support for Korean and Japanese will be coming next week. While there won't be an app for iOS, iPhone users can access Gemini by opening the Google App and tapping the "Gemini" button up top. How can you long-press the power button to invoke Gemini if that gesture is handled by Google Assistant? The answer is that the Gemini Android app can replace Google Assistant as your default assistant if you want, meaning all the ways you'd normally invoke Google Assistant on your phone can instead invoke Gemini. Unfortunately, Gemini currently doesn't offer ALL the same functionality as Google Assistant and requires an active data connection, but more features will be added over time. There's also now a Gemini Advanced tier, which offers access to Google's most powerful Ultra 1.0 LLM. It's so great for focused projects, classes, ...anything where you've got a set of materials you need to engage with and think about. Google just dropped its most powerful model and GPT-4's biggest competitor, Gemini Ultra. Here's what stands out: 1. You can opt out of training data when signing up 2. There is a digital watermark applied to all images generated by Imagen 2 within Gemini Ultra (but you can't see it) 3. Ultra is much more capable of complex tasks than Gemini Pro, such as coding, logical reasoning, and following longer/more detailed instructions. 4. There's a brand new Google Gemini App on Google Play and the App Store (in the US only for now) 5. Gemini on Android supports some existing Google Assistant features like controlling your Home devices, setting alarms, and more 6. I hope that in the foreseeable future, we will be able to "prompt-to-real estate" as well, with robots building a complete building from the ground up. Testing Replit ⠕ Agent 4 and its actually cracked Been a power user of Replit for like a year now and this new update makes it feel like a whole new platform Just updated my portfolio and it was like 5x simpler to do now than before - Agent Tasks on left lets you do hella things at once - Shell still runs Claude like its a terminal - Design section has built in previews + prompts to give you UI remix options - Skills are built into Agent prompting - iOS apps have options to go straight to the App Store I know two people IRL who built 2-3 apps with Replit from ZERO AI experience IMO Replit is still the easiest to use platform (especially for beginners) for anything videcoding related

Testing Replit ⠕ Agent 4 and its actually cracked Been a power user of Replit for like a year now and this new update makes it feel like a whole new platform Just updated my portfolio and it was like 5x simpler to do now than before - Agent Tasks on left lets you do hella things at once - Shell still runs Claude like its a terminal - Design section has built in previews + prompts to give you UI remix options - Skills are built into Agent prompting - iOS apps have options to go straight to the App Store I know two people IRL who built 2-3 apps with Replit from ZERO AI experience IMO Replit is still the easiest to use platform (especially for beginners) for anything videcoding related

It has been a long time since I made a video. I am sharing a deep dive into 2fac, a new 2FA app I built to replace Authy. What makes this project special is its massive scope, running natively across Android, iOS, watchOS, desktop, CLI, browser extensions, and the web. Building this many features across so many platforms was only possible through agentic coding. Huge thanks to Copilot, Claude, OpenCode, and Pi for completely changing how I write software.
